Have you seen the latest cool cards from a new release? With so many options for collectors of all kinds arriving every week it's possible you haven't. That's where Buzz comes in -- well at least on one brand you'll see here from time to time in what we're calling Buzz's Pick Six. Simply put, here are six cards from a new arrival that seemed interesting to this collector and we think they might interest you, too.
This week's release: 2020 Topps Series 1 baseball cards

SMALL SURPRISES AND STRONG PHOTOS
The Card: Big Air Big Hair ... Card No. 298
The Price: Cheap but fun.
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is a textbook example of how some of the basic inclusions in this one -- either team cards or checklists -- can have fun photos that help make the simple inclusions a little more interesting. This is something that some brands do often and with deliberate appeal -- think Stadium Club -- but flagship Topps has done this more in recent years and the results are getting a little better. One touch on this card that some might notice? The new (old) logo for the Brewers will be found in this series. It also doesn't hurt that one of the strong sophomores, Keston Hiura, is here, too. This won't be an expensive card at all -- it's just a nod to remember that fun stuff adds value in other ways and we might all remember that more often ... a good photo can make a good card, too.

A THROWBACK IS BACK
The Cards: Turkey Red 2020 inserts ... with a few versions
The Price: Will vary by player
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This simple retro-styled brand has only been seen a few times in the last decade -- as an online-exclusive and then last as an insert in 2010 -- but it returns to packs here with a meaty 100-card set that will be found regularly in retail packs. It also will have a Chrome version as well as a hobby jumbo box jumbo box-topper set. The main sets are 100-card sets, while the jumbos drop things down to 50. The set appears to be just current veterans and then some rookies -- no retro players on the checklist here -- with rookies including Yordan Alvarez, Nico Hoerner, Gavin Lux, Aristides Aquino and Bo Bichette. This one will be a solid project if someone were to chase all 250 cards -- and there are parallels to be found on both -- Blue (/50), Green (/10) and 1/1 Black for the standard ones and Blue, Greens and Superfractors in Chrome at the same volume.

THE COLLECTORS' CHOICE ...
The Card: Yordan Alvarez 2020 Topps Topps Choice insert
The Price: Could be strong for this one ...
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This 25-card set takes the most-popular designs from the rich history of basic Topps cards and gives them a new run with new players -- just like Heritage but all in one spot. We don't yet know how things shake out with which designs on the checklist, but 1956 Topps gets a ride with one of the top rookies in this series, Alvarez, on card No. 2. (And, yes, there will be parallels.)

WORLD SERIES HIGHLIGHTS
The Card: Juan Soto World Series Highlights ... Card No. 6
The Price: Hot at first but will mellow over time
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This guy remains a big (and young) deal for collectors and a season with a World Series ring already in his possession could add some shine to his already popular cards. These cards are always basic highlights in this release and the insert sets are probably the biggie here more than the four base cards that will look like this (Juan Soto, Stephen Strasburg, Anthony Rendon and Max Scherzer). The autographs will include Soto, Scherzer and six others on both standard ink and auto-Relic cards, while the Relics set will expand that out to 15 players. (And parallels on top of all of these ... that's a big project to collect 'em all. )

NEXT!
The Card: Ronald Acuña Jr. Decade's Next insert
The Price: Could be strong for this one ...
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This set will showcase 30 players who would grab headlines in the future and that includes five rookies on the checklist, too. Acuña had a dominating season where he came up just short of being a member of the exclusive 40-40 Club and there are a number of other guys in this insert set that could be popular with a lot of collectors. Depending on how the odds are, these could be strong -- and I'd expect that the parallels and ink could do well for a lot of these players, too.

TAKE THE CARDBOARD CHALLENGE
The Card: Bryce Harper 2020 Topps Home Run Challenge
The Price: Will vary by player
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Harper bats lead-off for this 30-card set that rewards you for predicting when a player will homer. Some of these cards have yielded some scorchers in the past as some players' performances haven't yielded a high volume of correct answers. These aren't found heavily regularly but they have a following and are a solid addition in my book. There aren't many rookies in this set but some of the players include Ronald Acuña Jr., Mookie Betts, Kris Bryant, Aaron Judge, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr., Pete Alonso, Mike Trout and Yordan Alvarez to name a few.
