2015 Bowman Chrome baseball hobby box
The rookie auto crop isn't what a lot of Chrome buyers scout first but the list of names found in this one is impressive -- Byron Buxton, Carlos Rodon, Francisco Lindor, Joc Pederson, Kris Bryant and Noah Syndergaard. There are, of course, then the prospects and plenty of rainbow potential that the Chromies are known to collect in bulk. A lower price on these boxes should entice more than a few rippers -- and cards like this Bryant auto could be in there with two autographs in every box.

Santa Claus has signed an autograph deal with Topps for a new online release unveiled by the company today as the 2016 Topps Santa Claus set is now available only initially via Topps.com.

Terms of the autograph deal were not disclosed but he'll be signing cards found one per set in this release.

Not to be outdone, Mrs. Claus also will be signing cards for this product as will one of the elves found at the North Pole.

There wasn't just one surprise on Election Day -- and this other surprise has continued to pile up votes of another type -- you know ... bids -- on eBay.

They are Decision 2016 Series 2 sketch cards and these card-sized drawings of politicians and others beyond Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have given the cut autographs in the product a run for their money.

2013 Panini Beach Boys hobby box
This box is admittedly probably off the radar of many collectors but that doesn't mean that it can't deliver. In fact, these can deliver well if you pull the right ink. This Brian Wilson card here? It sold for more than you might think and he's not alone when it comes to autos in there that have topped the $100 mark. Like the Panini Country release, there are non-traditional collectors chasing cards here to build sets or chase stuff they like with no regard for what something "should" cost based on what it is or its scarcity. Meanwhile, they may not know where to buy boxes -- or not want to. Those things can lead to some surprising results -- and that's not the only surprise. Check out the price on this box.

Sometimes you just get sidetracked by an email.

That was the case Friday morning when the latest images from Sideshow Toys spotlighting its newest (and some past) Premium Format figures arrived in Buzz's inbox.

They're premium in size -- in the case of Deadpool here 24 inches tall and 14 pounds -- and premium in price. But, most importantly, they're premium in appeal as they are ridiculously detailed in their varying forms.

2016 Panini Classics football hobby box
Just because it's not expensive doesn't mean it isn't one of the best releases of the year so far -- and if you ask this collector Classics is a contender for just that. You'll find one autograph per box and memorabilia cards atop the ink in others. There also is one buyback auto per 20-box case with some big names to be found. This one's retro-styled but brand-new design (with a nod to 1983 Topps) is strong with some quirky variations and touches that also add to the oldschool feel. You can see more of those and a gallery in past Buzz stories here. Aside from the hits, the printing quality and design here on retro stock make this a fun rip no matter what. Had Buzz not jumped on some cases in Black November previously, this would be in the ol' cart.

Fans of the upcoming Rogue One film can get their Star Wars fix on cardboard every single week with a new set and online program from Topps that launched on Monday.

It's 2016 Topps Rogue One Mission Briefing Monday and it will be sold via sets each week only initially on Topps.com. This first set includes six cards and they are all images that were previously teased by Entertainment Weekly. They use the memorable 1977 Topps Star Wars design.

The Cubs won the pennant -- and plenty more -- and the 1965 Topps pennant design is the home to the only Rookie Card for one of the World Series champions' best (and under-appreciated) pitchers in Kyle Hendricks. That's the easy guarantee from a set that's loaded with Rookie Cards and has an autograph inside every box. Also big in this one? RCs and autographs for Mookie Betts, Jose Abreu, Billy Hamilton, and Jacob deGrom as well as cards for Masahiro Tanaka, Joe Panik, George Springer and more. 2009 Topps Mayo football hobby box 
Buying older football boxes can be tough at times as players can come and go quite quickly, but, then again, so did this brand -- but there aren't many sets like it. It's retro-styled football in the realm of Allen & Ginter with some downright unusual inclusions. Example? It's the home of a Tim Kaine "Rookie Card" -- perhaps notable to some collectors out there since we're so close to Election Day. Mayo was only around two seasons, and it includes non-traditional autographs and Relics along with a decent mix of big football names. (The big names remain big but the rookies may not be.) For the price this one's got potential and it's bound to be very, very different than other NFL brands out there -- no matter who you pull.

2010 USA National Teams (2009 Team) Baseball Box Set
There have been plenty of USA Baseball products in the last decade and this one is the one that went a bit high-end. Why? The talent. Among the autographs you can find here are Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, Francisco Lindor, Trevor Bauer, Sonny Gray, Kolten Wong, Jameson Taillon and Albert Almora. This box carries a pretty hefty discount but all those key autos are still in there.
