Among Cryptozoic's forthcoming releases in the non-sports realm is Arrow Season 3, which arrives later this year with a new batch of autographs from the stars of the show.

Every box will include an autograph and more, though the focus is on the ink. So far, six members of the cast have signed on with more on the way.

The aliens are going electronic on Wednesday.

Upper Deck revealed on Monday that its recently released (and sold out) Alien Anthology product will be coming to its electronic e-Pack platform with insert cards, actor autographs, dog tag cards, sketch cards and more that can be sent to them. The launch begins at San Diego Comic-Con.

“We have been working diligently to be able to announce the momentous release of Alien Anthology on e-Pack at Comic-Con, which brings together some of the most passionate fans and collectors in our industry,” said Jason Masherah, President of Upper Deck. “We strive to bring collectors the most innovative new products, and the release of Alien Anthology on e-Pack allows us to give fans a pack opening experience like they’ve never had before.”

We all know someone who busts boxes just for the hits and there are a lot of boxes out there that guarantee nothing but the hits, particularly for budgets that are big. (You know, the stuff like Flawless.)

Also out there are collectors like Buzz, who rip boxes on a budget, allowing for dabbling in more than one area (you know, not just Flawless) and bust a bit more more often.

This year's Panini VIP party at the National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City, N.J., will have a Super twist -- as in SuperVIPs that get plenty of extras -- but BlowoutCards.com wants to help others get in on the action without heading to the coast.

Details have not yet been revealed for the party, but only a handful of SuperVIP tickets will be available.

When Superman first came to the big screen in 1948, Lois Lane was played by Noel Neill, a Minnesota-born actress whose father was a newspaper editor.

It tuned out to be a role that helped define a career.

Neill went on to appear in 78 episodes of the Adventures of Superman television series that lasted six seasons and then have cameos in other Superman films as part of a career that spanned seven decades. She died on Monday at age 95 after a long illness.

"Brave, smart, and witty. She embodied the very best qualities of Lois Lane. RIP Noel Neill," read a message on the DC Comics Twitter account.

It's nearly July 4, so it's time for a few hot dogs to be eaten -- and depending on where you are that could mean about 70 in 10 minutes.

Well, at least that's the goal tomorrow in Coney Island, N.Y.

At noon on ESPN3 will be the men's version of the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest where current champ Matt Stonie will try to fend off past winners. Earlier in the morning at 10:50 is when the women compete. (Click the schedule at right to see when it re-airs.)

While competitive eating is a world of its own -- and something that doesn't often hit ESPN airwaves the other 364 days a year -- at least a half-dozen eating champs have appeared on trading cards that are available nationally. In fact, Stonie is an odds on favorite to appear as a "World's Champion" in Topps' popular 2016 Allen & Ginter baseball card set when it arrives later this month, which is fitting because that brand is where the trend first surfaced when it comes to eaters on cardboard.
