Collecting Pregame-used: A Philly special from 2017-18

With the sports world in a massive pause with everything in flux -- a weird time for sure -- I figured I'd go with the weird item in the Collecting Game-used series this month.

And you can actually call this one "Collecting Pregame-used."

The item you see above is a shirt presented to and used by an NBA player not long ago (and who was having a pretty solid campaign this year) and it's not some super-pricey piece or relatively amazing visual, though you should know some of the faces on the front. However, it was a series of locker room photos about what the team had planned for this marketing event that got me to jump on this one.

The item: Richaun Holmes (@Rich_Holmes22) shirt (Fanatics authentication)

What's Buzz-worthy: This pregame-used shirt was a super-cheap find out in Fanatics land -- less than the price of a couple blasters -- and finding the photograph above when trying to learn more about the promotional marketing night was what got me to bite. (I didn't find much ... just the gallery.) It was worn by center-forward Richaun Holmes who was in his third and final season with the team back then and scored four points against the Magic that night. He also had four assists, eight rebounds and a block in 21 minutes (He averaged 12.8 points a game as a starter for the Kings this season -- so he's a player still making some waves.) There weren't just players sporting these special shirts for the game -- Philadelphia Eagles QB Carson Wentz was on hand and in one as you can see here. (I'd bet his might have been sold by Fanatics long ago ... they have all kinds of weird stuff of his like game-used wristbands and arm-pads at far-higher prices than this.) Without the NBA.com photo, this piece probably wouldn't have gotten my attention -- it's a pretty simple item -- but this "photo-match" of sorts made me think some of you might have something to say about this one over on social media. 😂 Its cert is signed by two 76ers execs who are still with the team ... in case you collect those types of things, too. (Kidding ... though somebody out there might do that. Anything is possible with collecting.)
