COMC reveals plans for National Sports Collectors Convention

The National is just weeks away and COMC revealed its plans for the show of shows on Wednesday.

Booth 1240 at the Atlantic City show -- it starts on July 27 and runs until July 31 -- will be in the corporate pavilion and the home base of all their plans.

What's on tap? The selling site will be doing in-person consignment drop-offs, a discounted submission promotion good only at the show, Time With Tim (meetings with founder and CEO Tim Getsch) and scratch-to-win cards good for discounts and plenty more.

COMC's submission fees will be lower for submissions at the show with 40 percent off Elite service and 30 percent off Select service (minimum 10 items on Select). There are some other limits -- click here for full show-subbing details. The company recommends doing all your paperwork in advance before making your submission, though some computers will be working for subs at the show (lines could be long at times).

The show subs won't be the only thing to do at the booth as there will be scratch-off cards this year with a shot at free store credit or free shipping. For a shot at those, you just show a COMC staffer your account on your phone to get one free scratch-off card. Prize codes can possibly yield up to $1,000. (Other amounts are $5, $10, $25, $100 or free shipping.)

Meetings with the company's CEO will be available in 30-minute blocks. To do this, please send in an e-mail a requested date and time during the show along with subjects to discuss before July 18. The address is timewithtim@comc.com. COMC aims to have its schedule set by July 21.
