eBay Buzz: A Shohei Ohtani Bowman Chrome WBC scorcher

The Shohei Ohtani show isn't just limited to his newest cardboard.

A shouldn't-have-been-released copy of his 2017 Bowman Chrome Mega Box Refractor is on the auction block and ends tonight -- oh and it's a perfect black-label BGS 10 version of the card only found in 2017 Bowman Mega Boxes where it was mistakenly released, meaning it's rare on top of rare.

How much is is going for?

After 39 bids, it sits at $3,100 (click here to see the latest) with 151 watchers and more than nine hours to go in the auction ending on eBay tonight.

How rare is this Ohtani? According to the BGS Pop Report, there have been 1,067 copies of this 2017 Bowman Chrome Mega Box Refractor graded and just 20 have come back as a BGS 10 black label.

The most-common grade for the card is BGS 9.5 (773 copies), while there are 214 standard BGS 10s out there, though some might still be hiding in unopened Mega Boxes for now.
