BO KNOWS
The Item: Bo Bichette 2020 Topps Series 1 1985 Topps Red Autographs (/25)
The Price: $399.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This price might not be the best one out there, but this guy is my pick to watch this season among the rookies and young stars you should be looking to find in packs. The 1985 cards actually aren't my favorite inclusion in 2020 Topps Series 1, but these cards (all colors) have on-card sigs and that's a big plus. I'd also consider the stickered 1985 Chrome autos that are in box-topper packs as there has to be a limited volume of those out there -- and inevitably there will always be some stuck in sealed hobby boxes for years to come. Prices for rarer versions of top guys on unsigned cards show there is some serious interest in those cards, too. I'm not sure this price will get hit, but after his rookie season where he hit .311 with 11 homers, 18 doubles and 21 RBI in just 46 games we may be all wishing we had been chasing him now at some point later this season.

The Item: Ja Morant 2019-20 Donruss Optic Blue Prizm (/59)
The Price: $800 opening bid or $1,400 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one isn't cheap and it may be undercut by other copies out there at the moment but I present it with this simple thought ... there's more out there in 2019-20 NBA releases than just Zion Williamson. Morant is perhaps the unquestioned No. 2 on cards but he's No. 1 for points scored among all rookies this year. And that's among a dozen newcomers who are averaging 11 or more points per game right now. When people are shredding looking for nothing but Williamson and Morant they are likely overlooking plenty ... I wouldn't be afraid to be watching and stockpiling overlooked rookies. Might there be a future where Ja rules?

NO, NOT XFL ... XRCs!
The Item: 2019 Panini Select XRCs
The Price: Varies based on positions and slots
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This new brand includes an annual staple that is a redemption collectors actually like (as much as they can for redemptions) -- the XRC cards that are good for either a standard card or an autographed card of a particular position's player picked in the upcoming draft. For example, card No. 301 is for QB1 -- the first quarterback taken in the draft -- and then other cards are good for other positions at other draft slots. They can be pricey and they do have competition with Panini Instant and other quick-release cards but they are in demand.

FORGET HORSEPOWER ... TWEET-POWER
The Item: David Ragan 2019 Panini Prime NASCAR Prime Jumbo 1/1 patch 
The Price: $399.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: NASCAR is the home of some of the best memorabilia cards in all of cardboard and this one is a classic example of how a lesser name can still have a big-time card. There are a number of 1/1 patches out there in this one with various logos and materials in cards. A lot of them can be pretty affordable, too. The best news here? That might be that boxes are a lot cheaper at the moment, too -- at least until they start drying up. If you've ever wanted to dabble with cardboard out of your comfort zone, this is a brand that has some good potential -- and it's a cheaper high-end box than a lot of lower-end stuff out there right now.

HERITAGE IS COMING ...
The Item: Thurman Munson 1971 Topps (PSA 8)
The Price: $2,460 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This also isn't a pick necessarily made here for this exact card at this exact price -- this one is here as a reminder that 1971 Topps is the basis for 2020 Topps Heritage that officially drops next Wednesday but could start popping up via early retail arrivals at any point between now and then. This card is arguably one of the most-memorable from that original set as the second-year card of this New York Yankees legend is an action photo that helped say that this one was going to include some visual surprises you might not have seen in the years leading up to it. This year's set includes Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez on card No. 5 -- so watch for something on that one either with the standard card or its action variation.
