eBay Buzz: Conor McGregor rarity, bargain-box zipper pulls, Max Weinberg and more highlights mostly up for grabs now

SUPPLY VS. DEMAND ... 
The Item: Conor McGregor 2014 Topps UFC Bloodlines Ruby parallel (/8)
The Price: Sold for $125
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: I don't normally showcase old auctions but this one struck me as a tad surprising but also as a situation to offer up some thoughts, though it is admittedly a rare parallel card of a top name. What happens when wax boxes vanish because they get ripped and then rare stuff pops back up on the market years after a deluge? Well, sales like this and it's seemingly not alone as I have seen some Relic lots and other inclusions here command similar prices when they might not normally -- at least under conventional thinking that's not all that realistic about the markets. This brand is one with a hit in every box and 10 packs, too, making it a safe rip and a relatively fun one (I liked it and I'm not the biggest UFC fan) and in the box I opened I landed a parallel like this one -- mine was Ronda Rousey. The auto checklist has some solid names and every box also includes a cool engot card that can also command a few bucks and a lot more than you might think if it's a key name. I noticed a box of this one in stock over in the store and I'd totally grab it if I did higher-priced boxes more regularly ... but instead I'll let one of you do the honors and show me what I could have had.

The Item: Max Weinberg 2018 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions Splash of Color Autographs 
The Price: $59.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Depending on your age, you might know him from different places -- he was the drummer for Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band for years and he was the leader of the band for Late Night with Conan O'Brien for a long stretch, too. If you want his autograph or any other trading cards, this release is the only place to find them -- and there are a few options. Goodwin has a lot of interesting inclusions -- and that's why I have a box from the big sale incoming for a Buzz Break here soon. I say more about it then.

TWO OF A KIND
The Item: Joe Jackson & Lefty Williams 2012 Panini Golden Age 1919 Black Sox Dual Bats (/50)
The Price: $500 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: There are a number of rarer memorabilia cards to be found in the past Golden Age releases and this one is a sweet one for baseball fans in that the banned 1919 Black Sox players can't appear in MLB sets so stuff like this can only happen elsewhere. This rare card is perhaps a little high-priced on that BIN but it's not an easy pull and I literally don't remember the last time I saw one compared to other stuff found here. The best part of this one? It could have come out of a box for less than $50.

TWO OF A DIFFERENT KIND
The Item: Billie Jo Powers 2012 & 2015 BenchWarmer Daizy Dukez 1/1 Zipper Cards
The Price: $700 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: I'll readily admit I know nothing about her, but this one appears here as an example of the creative trading cards to be found out there beyond a handful of releases in the sports realm involving memorabilia. These were found in a pair of BenchWarmer releases from the past that carried themes with Daisy Duke's cut-off jeans in mind as well as designs that revolved around denim. These 1/1 cards take the swatches to a new extra-dimensional level and one is autographed. Do I think that price will be hit? Probably not, but they are unique cards and the seller sets their price in this scenario. Like other items I've presented here today, one of them was found in a box that's not super-pricey and still available.

HOW MANY YOU NEED? (NOT MANY MADE)
The Item: Reggie Jackson 2020 Topps 206 Autograph 
The Price: $177.50 after three bids (four days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This auto has a relatively surprising price but it's one of the better signed cards possible from what's a heavily held (at least based on eBay pics of people trying to flip their boxes in bulk) online-only release that can be a relatively dry break. It's a multi-series re-do of the old T206 tobacco cards but with today's stars involved and some legendary other inclusions. Ink? It's not easily found but it's in there -- and the fact that boxes don't cough them up every time shows how prices like this are possible. (That's not a bad thing for flippers who get lucky, or collectors who just want to finance their next rips or are collecting master sets but will sell their rarities.)
