DEREK JETER'S CLEATS
The Item: Derek Jeter 2018 Topps Diamond Icons game-used cleat card (1/1)
The Price: $210.50 after five bids (with five-plus days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is a one-of-a-kind crazy card with the bottom of one of this future Hall of Famer's cleats embedded into the piece. These rare pulls came from a high-end brand that's loaded with nothing but hits and these are among the most-unique cards Topps has ever made. Simple as that. It will be a fun auction to watch, though for my personal tastes I might just chase a common player's cleat -- or a complete Jeter cleat. (I think it might get that kind of pricey with this auction.)

HUNTING AUNT BECKY ... ON CARDBOARD
The Item: Lori Loughlin 1991 Impel Laffs (Full House) #5
The Price: $3.42 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: At the point Buzz started writing this one, the No. 1 trending Twitter topic was "Aunt Becky" as there are plenty of jokes bouncing around as Loughlin's whereabouts are unknown and she's wanted as part of a massive alleged academic fraud scheme where she allegedly paid $500,000 to get her kids get into USC. She's not the only person entangled in Operation Varsity Blues, but Full House apparently resonates with many. As for cardboard? This is one of a few cards for that series in a set that showcased a number of TV shows and she has at least three card appearances. This one is the best of them -- it's not expensive, but it's also not a set you see everyday these days ... and it might be in a little more demand now with some added real-world drama.

CUNNINGHAM'S INK
The Item: Randall Cunningham autographed and multi-inscribed full-size Philadelphia Eagles helmet (BAS)
The Price: $399.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The number of inscriptions here along with an autograph from a guy who should be a Hall of Famer definitely caught my eye. It's an impressive piece that took some definite time to put together and while it's pricey it could probably command more. His autograph isn't super-plentiful but it's also not super-rare (or that aesthetically flashy) so a piece like this makes it definitely interesting. Inscriptions cost card companies more to get (as it slows down signings so athletes charge more), but wouldn't an approach like this make for some fascinating cards?

CONTENDERS OPTIC CAUGHT MY EYE
The Item: Mitchell Trubisky 2017 Panini Contenders Optic Gold autograph (/10) PSA 10
The Price: $5,999.10 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The new Contenders Optic is here but it was this colorful card from last year that got my attention with its colorful balance and a big, bold autograph from the Bears' QB. Pulling the elite stuff like this one -- a key player on a rarer card -- isn't the easiest thing to do, but it is totally do-able. There are a number of big rookies in both years of this one that have big-dollar potential and you get more than one auto in every box. It's one that keeps grabbing my attention.

THE BRYCE IS RIGHT
The Item: Bryce Harper 2019 Topps poster (no card) -- Philadelphia Phillies debut (/157)
The Price: $39.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The card versions of these debut items showing Harper as a member of the Phillies sold very well at 1,348 (Red) and 1,839 (Blue), but the poster versions of these will be much tougher finds in the future in comparison. Just 157 copies of this poster were ordered and made, while the other one had just 73 ordered and made. Topps Now cards have a strong real-time following but these were first -- and there could be serious interest in these first pieces if the Philly chapter of the Harper History Book ends up with all those rings and all that greatness that his agent had to have guaranteed with the longest contract and biggest payday in MLB history. ... Right?
