eBay Buzz: Huge Patrick Mahomes stash attracts TMZ buzz, Sabrina Ionescu, WWE Chrome autographs & Topps Rip ink

A MASSIVE MAHOMES STASH ... 
The Item: Patrick Mahomes super collection that includes 33 1/1 cards and more (all 2017 cards)
The Price: $7.5 million Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This stash isn't just all that you see above -- hit that link to see it all in the listing -- but that doesn't matter. The fact that Mahomes' best Prizm and Optic Rookie Cards and parallels aren't in there doesn't matter -- what matters here is that TMZ got its eyes on this one and it's now got a lot more exposure ... without there even being a Rob Kardashian cameo. The stash is nothing to sniff at -- it's loaded -- with a full breakdown at the link and the story of how it all came together for Robert DeArmitt Jr. and his wife, Heidi. The cost to put it all together? About $20,000. There's no doubt it would command more than that if pieced out and the seller says he's gotten seven-figure deals ... but common sense says, well, that price may not be hit. Except 2020 is weird, y'all. Maybe a Kardashian or Wahlberg wants to collect even more?

MINI AUTOS, BIG DEALS
The Item: Bryce Harper 2020 Topps Rip Yellow Mini Auto (/5)
The Price: $500 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This pick isn't here because I think it's a deal, though for the low-volume numbering there might be some action here. I present this one as there have been some nice cards popping out of Topps Rip, a new online-first release that included four Rip Cards per box with the whole debate of whether you should dare to tear being the key. Good stuff can be inside cards ... but unripped cards should have demand over time, too. I personally think the price was too high for the concept but it's a smaller-run release so that may help bolster its potential over the long term. Rare stuff here could be strong going forward, especially if the concept takes off and is done more in the future.

CHROME IS KING (OF THE RING?)
The Item: Alexa Bliss 2020 Topps Chrome WWE Gold Refractor Autograph (/50)
The Price: $200 opening bid (four days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This card isn't the biggest thing to find in this year's return of Chrome but it's a good example of how a key name, a good color and Chrome Refractor stock can surprise. We'll see as I picked this as an ongoing auction instead of a BIN but there's no doubt there will be more action here than some other releases. I've mentioned it before, but I'm a broken record here -- the retail odds for parallels and ink are brutal (or along the lines of 2014 and 2015) so unless you get really lucky you're going to have basic stuff out of blasters more times than not. Meanwhile hobby boxes give you two autos and the color seems to flow decently for other stuff from what I have seen on the forums. Hit those hobby boxes if you want to chase cards like this. Shred those blasters if you're looking for base set building, image variations and inserts -- or regular Refractors. I'm ripping hobby if it's in my price range ... but it could vanish fast.

MOVE OVER, ZION ...
The Item: Sabrina Ionescu 2020 Panini Prizm WNBA Blue Prizm RC parallel (/149) 
The Price: $302 after 13 bids (two days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This release is an enigmatic one but cards like this of the WNBA's No. 1 overall pick, could be safe in the next few years if they are numbered parallels or in-demand inserts. Why? Prizm is likely to be the only WNBA release of the year unlike, for example, That Zion Guy in the NBA who has nearly 2,000 different cards as its No. 1 draft pick. So, whatever Prizm include for her will inevitably have more competition on the market even with fewer WNBA buyers. (Williamson demand is huge and far larger here but those buyers have plenty to choose from in comparison.) This former Oregon Ducks star was as historically good college player -- the only one (male or female) to have 2,000 points, 1,000 assists, and 1,000 rebounds in a career -- and there will be interest here with her in New York as well as from fans across the league. Couple that with plenty of Prizm speculators and it's a perfect storm for now and perhaps later if she has a strong career. Prices on other cards are very steep ... so somewhat plentiful cards like this could make for good bargains in comparison, too.
