A CAREER IN A CARD ...
The Item: Ichiro Suzuki 2017 Topps Triple Threads Jumbo Patch Combo Relic booklet (1/1)
The Price: $29,999 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: First and most importantly I don't think that price is ever going to be hit, but we'll lead off with some powerful window-shopping as the legendary MLB career of Ichiro Suzuki has come to an end. This piece shows him with the only three MLB teams he ever played for and it includes some impressive jumbo patches, too. This is the kind of magic that has been somewhat commonplace -- yet still not easily pulled -- in boxes of Triple Threads since it arrived back in 2006.

A NAME IN THE NEWS ...
The Item: Robert Mueller autographed 2001 Topps Enduring Freedom trading card (not authenticated; letter from office)
The Price: $56 after 23 bids (three days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: You've probably heard his name hundreds if not thousands of times in the last couple years but I'm not sure that many people know that this trading card even exists, let alone there being autographs copies of it out there. I found this one searching for some non-sports boxes from the past and it seems like a unique item that could do well before the auction ends. It's not authenticated but that PSA Quick Opinion button seems like it could be very handy with this one. This is his first card, though he can also be found in the Decision 2016 Series 2 release, too. This one was back when he was serving as the FBI Director.

BIG HEAD, BIG INCLUSION ...
The Item: Ken Griffey Jr. 2019 Donruss Recollection Collection buyback autographs 1991 Score All-Star (/2)
The Price: $769.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This isn't one I see commanding that top price, either, but it's a reminder that there are some surprises out there in packs of 2019 Donruss baseball cards. This card is from a somewhat forgettable (yet unforgettable) subset in 1991 Score and it's one of just two penned by one of the most-iconic players of all time. There are more than a few collectors out there who remember those days and the fact that there was nothing to be found in packs like this back then. But ... now? That's another story.

BEHIND THE ALLIANCE
The Item: Charlie Ebersol 2019 Topps Alliance of American Football Autographs 
The Price: $149.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: If you know sports programming you should know the name Ebersol as it was his father who helped bring the Olympics, NFL, the WWF's Saturday Night's Main Event specials and even the XFL to NBC TV screens. Charlie Ebersol also has a TV background -- more on the reality TV and documentary side -- and he's one of the founders of this new league. This autograph is one of many in the product -- one where ink is flowing three or four times per hobby box -- as it's one of a few non-player autos. Is it rarer than others? Perhaps, but we'll only know as time goes on. The Topps Now cards for AAF have surprised me but I think the depth of this one's in-pack inclusions could make it a sleeper in the future as there's a finite amount of boxes and many of the signers won't be found elsewhere.

UNCUT VINTAGE
The Item: 1974 Topps baseball uncut sheet
The Price: $499.99 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This uncut sheet isn't the flashiest collection of cardboard out there, but together it's an impressive thing to see because at this point all these years later we simply shouldn't. It's got creases and it's got issues, but there are a few notable names to be found here -- though not the biggest in the set. Hall of Famers Harmon Killebrew and Eddie Mathews are here (one as a manager) as are Steve Garvey and Tim McCarver. You should be able to spot a few more names with some studying, though they aren't as big. This price might be a tad high given who's on it (or who's not), but it's a nice put-on-the-wall display piece that could appreciate over time even without big names attached.
