eBay Buzz: Luminance dominance, wild (thing) sketches, Luis Robert's Chrome, Damian Lillard Prizm and a top-notch Tua

ALL ABOUT THE PHOTOS
The Item: Zion Williamson 2019-20 Panini Chronicles Luminance Rookie Card
The Price: $114.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Searches for Chronicles really overload me -- there's just too much to choose from and then there are parallels atop all of them (so there are likely better bargains than this particular card and its price) -- but this set jumped out from the rest from this new and red-hot release. Luminance is all about the photos with a simple 1996-97 Fleer Ultra-ish feel (but no tail on the letters) and it might be the best of the best in this catch-all release. This card, the Ja Morant (even better) and the Luka Doncic card are all solid pieces and I'm sure there are others. Over time, the basic cards like this one will stand out from the rest because of the images even if they are easier finds than other rarer but uglier cards. It also doesn't hurt that Williamson is in his red uni here ... so many (too many) were in the drab blue uniforms we've seen all season long from the rookie photo shoot. Luminance is just 30 cards in Chronicles but each has nine parallel sets and some are very rare ... so it will be a bit of a challenge to collect 'em all. I would if I was patient enough.

A FEW DIMES
The Item: Damian Lillard 2012-13 Panini Prizm Rookie Card (BGS 10)
The Price: $5,999.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: He's been so dominant of late that his basics are scorchers -- and not just Rookie Cards -- especially when the word "Prizm" is involved. This one? It's a nearly perfect -- nearly Black slab save for that bottom left corner -- copy of his first Prizm card that is a red-hot card in any color. NBA cards with new-car pricing are nothing new but the postseason finally being here will only intensify interest in the key players' key cards. First-year Prizm is easily now in legendary status but the second and even third years are picking up steam.

A REAL WILD ONE ... 
The Item: Charlie Sheen signed Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn Garbage Pail Kids sketch card by Jason Crosby (BAS)
The Price: $3,000 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This piece is a classic and it's not alone (hit that link below) as the artist's 1/1 creations have been signed by Ken Griffey Jr., Tony Hawk, Pete Rose, Barry Sanders, Hulk Hogan, Undertaker, Sting and Shawn Michaels to name a few. The amount of work put in here is strong and the appeal can be, too. They're all unique and there are tons of possibilities here. These were not put into packs ... at least I don't think (99.99 percent sure) but other works from him have made it into releases. If you're looking for something different these days, then sketch cards might be something you check out -- some non-sports releases guarantee them in every single box.

LOVE THOSE CHROME PARALLELS
The Item: Luis Robert 2020 Topps Chrome Pink Rookie Card parallel 
The Price: $149.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: There are a ton of cards for this new rookie to choose from for this guy, but some of the newest RCs are from Topps Chrome and the parallels are the key cards to grab in my mind right now. (Not necessarily at this price ... shop around. This is merely a representative pick. They could be found for less.) Certain colors are only found in certain formats -- Pink in value packs, Sepia in blasters, X-Fractors in megas and then an array of stuff in hobby boxes -- and each of them can make this card look pretty good as his dark uniform does blend into the background a bit too much for my taste. His Opening Day SP RC is likely rarer than most of them and his basic Topps RCs are probably the easiest of them and somewhere in between will be all of his Chromes. (I'm sticking to basic cards and parallels here ... autographs are a whole other story from 2018 to today ... and, ironically, I just realized I pulled one in the past ... I didn't even realize it. That, too, might be a story for another day.) He's not dominating on the field right now (hitting .275 with three homers and 10 RBI in 22 games) but you might consider this first taste of MLB in a weird season as an appetizer for future play.

MEMORABILIA TIME
The Item: Tua Tagovailoa 2020 Panini Elements Rookie Neon Signs NFL logo autograph (1/1)
The Price: $12,999 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: It's taken a little longer than normal it seems, but we're now getting our first doses of NFL rookies in Photoshopped NFL uniforms along with memorabilia that they wore in private photo sessions. instead of the annual Rookie Premiere photo shoots. This card will have plenty more to follow but it's a nice find that has plenty of energy among the visuals ... so much so I think it would be a better card without the auto or at least perhaps would be stronger with blue ink? Either way, if I had pulled it it wouldn't be on eBay right now. If can be yours, though, with a meaty offer.
