eBay Buzz: Ronda Rousey's WWE autos get Rowdy, Rob Liefeld art, new NFL ink, James Corden ... and a signed wax box?

We’ll spotlight some items that have a story or just wow us with how much interest it might have — and we’re not just talking baseball cards, either.

NEW "ROWDY" CARDBOARD 
The Item: Ronda Rousey 2019 Topps WWE Road to WrestleMania Blue auto (/50)
The Price: $499.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one might be a little over-priced since it's a rarer parallel but you never know who might be looking and clicking so that's one reason why you see this one here. Other reasons? It's a pricey potential find -- one of many -- from a box that guarantees ink every time and presently runs less than $55. It's also interestingly the first card I've seen using her nickname as part of her name. She appears to have ink from several parallels in this one so she should be in the mix from here on out as long as she keeps signing -- that's a good thing here and should be a good sign for releases to come.

WANT A UNIQUE PIECE?
The Item: Larry Bird, Julius Erving & Magic Johnson autographed 1980-81 Topps wax box (PSA/DNA)
The Price: $974.97 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is the kind of item for the collector who already has it all -- and I found it when looking up copies of the iconic Rookie Card that's found in these boxes. It's the card on the box here -- RCs of two Hall of Famers sandwiching one of the biggest Hall of Fame names playing at that time. While I'd settle for a separated slabbed version at this point -- I'm shopping on the cheap and I like the idea of slabbed separates here -- this is an impressive piece. Ironically, it's one of two of these on eBay now -- the other one is signed in silver ink but the autos are not contained to the card images. While this one is not as visible, I think it's better to have autos contained to the cards. Either, way, this is a cool item to me.

CONTENDERS ARRIVES
The Item: Saquon Barkley 2018 Panini Contenders NFL Playoff Ticket autograph (/25)
The Price: $3,500 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one took a little extra time for hobby boxes to arrive but we've heard reports that they're delivering as many as six autos (one more than previously announced) in some instances -- and in some cases collectors are landing big-time rookies on parallels like this one. There's no playoff game for this rookie this weekend but a fun season on the field continues and some of the stars still playing can be big highlights here. These foilboard parallels could be interesting ones over time when it comes to condition -- especially if you're grading -- so picking them off when they present themselves (as long as the price is right) is better to do now while they are available and prices can fluctuate. Once the boxes dry up and singles are off to collections, the gems like this one will be even tougher to find on the market.

JUST CHILLING ON THE COUCH ...
The Item: Rob Liefeld original artwork for Cable issue No. 73, page 11
The Price: $800 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This interior page is a solid example of comic art from the 1990s that broke away from the simple square panels to tell and show stories in more dynamic ways. This one shows the title character, Cable, and a few others you might recognize from the X-Force years -- and it's from the guy who created it all there at first along with Deadpool, who helped bring the X-Force name to the big screen. Interior pages don't command the big attention money-wise that covers do in this realm, but you'd think that interiors could fluctuate more once demand picks up after new movies arrive, which is likely next year for this one. The price might be a little high -- Buzz's experience here is limited -- but the fact that you clearly see a few characters all in one place makes it an appealing piece.

A BIG AUTO FROM DOCTOR WHO ... BUT NOT THE BIGGEST
The Item: James Corden 2018 Topps Doctor Who Signature Series autograph 
The Price: $49.95 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: You probably know him from The Late Late Show with James Corden but in this release he's just Craig Owens from a past episode of the long-running hit TV franchise. These were released one autographed card per pack -- and that's it -- with a number of parallel cards and a deep roster of signers that includes a number of expensive cards -- check out the link below. Packs can be found at the link below that one and you can see that there's some very good potential here. There are presently a dozen cards on eBay between $100 and $599 -- and completed auctions show plenty of sales above $50. That's not bad for what's a very-inexpensive pack in today's hobby landscape.
