eBay Buzz: Topps Now Future, Game of Thrones sketches, Vladdy Jr., Rookie Premiere ink and fighter pilot Ted Williams

SELL NOW OR BUY FOR LATER?
The Item: Mike Trout 2019 Topps Now Future World Series (/10 Chrome set prize)
The Price: $84.95 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: It's a long baseball season so the recently released Topps Now Future packs (three cards) and single cards have some time to rise and fall based on pennant potential. This card is of a top name in the game and if his Los Angeles Angels somehow win the World Series it's good for a team set of Chrome parallels limited to only 10 copies. Logically, with three players per team on the standard checklist, that would mean that about three of these exist, right? Or, maybe all 10 of the eligible cards for that prize are of Trout? Either way, the rarer prize cards in this release should be rarer, too. The  three-card packs are limited in nature (just under 11,000 total) and every card inside can yield something -- team sets or team sets with an autograph. Sales of singles for some of these have been strong -- they are all worth a look. However, part of me thinks action for playoff contenders could really pick up late in the season. Do you buy or sell now? Or buy and sell later?

The Item: The Night King Game of Thrones Inflexions sketch card by Jason Davies (1/1)
The Price: $3,500 Buy-it-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This sketch card has a beefy price tag on it and it came from the newest Games release that dropped this week. What makes this one interesting? It appears to be the basis for the Artifex Metal card of this key villain. This one is a 1/1, while the cards that reproduce it are limited to 25. I'm not sure this will actually sell for anything near that but it's a cool card in that it was reproduced in an insert set.

SOME UNIQUE STRIPES ...  
The Item: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2019 Panini Prizm Zebra Prizm Autograph (/99)
The Price: $349.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This top rookie has been tearing it up so any new cardboard appearance is one worth a look. What makes this one different? Its look. This is a rarer Zebra Prizm that certainly looks like none other out there for the son of a Hall of Famer. His autograph certainly isn't the flashiest but that won't matter to many buyers.

PACK-PULLED PREMIUM?
The Item: Daniel Jones 2019 Panini Legacy Rookie Card signed in-person at NFLPA Rookie Premiere
The Price: $199.99 opening bid (four days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This card is a striking example of how sticker autographs can limit our cardboard design potential sometimes. It's not a big deal, but it's an interesting one. The certified version has a sticker auto placed atop where it says "rookie" while this one is big and bold. The card was obtained  when Jones pulled it from a pack during a break at the NFLPA Rookie Premiere and he then signed it. It's technically not a 1/1 (he'll sign more) but it was caught on the break stream, according to the seller. It's a unique card for a guy who was a surprise early pick in the draft out of Duke and a guy who might end up being the Giants' guy in the future.

A MEMORABLE CARD FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND
The Item: Ted Williams 1959 Fleer Ted Williams "Ted is Discharged" PSA 7
The Price: $20 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This is a memorable card of an MLB legend as we head into a holiday weekend. It's one of a few cards in the Fleer set that focuses on the life of Ted Williams beyond baseball and that includes his time in the military where he was a fighter pilot and flew close to 40 missions -- some alongside future astronaut John Glenn. There are a lot of potential ways to collect sports cards with military ties -- a ton of them -- and the price here is one where I just might grab it. It's not a pricey card but if you're a regular reader here you know I've been doing a lot more slabbed cardboard these days.
