THE MACHINE'S HARDWARE
The Item: Albert Pujols MLB Authenticated Los Angeles Angels batting helmet

Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This one was worn on Sept. 25, 2015, when Pujols hit his 557th career home run -- an item that's more than just a gamer -- and it's fully authenticated by MLB (click the pic at right for closer look at that authentication number). Now that Pujols is a member of the 3,000-hit and 600-homer club -- something only four players have ever done -- there should be a little more appreciation for his memorabilia and key cards even though he's got two hobby heavyweights in the lineup with him.

The Item: A lot of 504 1978 Topps NFL wax packs
The Price: $10,999.99 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Buying oldschool wax is always risky, but this one is impressive in its volume. This is the equivalent of 14 wax boxes and their original price was 20 cents a pack back in the day. You're looking at $21.82 a pop now. What's in these? Conceivably a ton of possible Gem Mint 10s across the board but the biggest card here is Tony Dorsett's Rookie Card. It's not the greatest set but there are also cards of more than 70 Hall of Famers in the set. Shipping will be $100, too. Why did this one make it here? The sheer volume. That's impressive.

THE EMERGING STAR FROM DEADPOOL 2?
The Item: PSA/DNA authenticated Zazie Beetz Deadpool 2 autographed 11-by-14 photo
The Price: $185 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: When Deadpool 2 arrives next week, film-goers will be introduced to a new character called Domino who's been in the comic books ever since that dude in red showed up. She's been linked to Cable, a key player for X-Force and the X-Men in the books but Zazie Beetz is bringing her to film for the first time. This signed photo was one of the first promotional shots of her in character released months ago and she's the centerpiece of an ensemble one-sheet poster for the film, too. (Click for a closer look.) Beetz is probably best known for her work on Atlanta but there will be plenty more to come in the Marvel universe.

A DIFFERENT KIND OF WWE PIECE
The Item: Sasha Banks and Bayley autographed match-used gear plaque (/50)
The Price: $252 after 22 bids with five-plus days remaining
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: These two have been among the new wave of female competitors in WWE in recent years and they've both had plenty of autographs and memorabilia cards from Topps in that time, but this piece created and auctioned/sold by WWE is different. Look closely and you'll see the memorabilia swatches are not t-shirts but actual match-used gear that you can see them wearing in the photos when they faced off at the WWE Battleground pay-per-view. That makes this an even cooler piece -- one that this collector would have been all over when initially offered had I known about it. A second one of these is on eBay with an asking price of $600 -- but that's nothing compared to some asking pieces on plaques.
