BIGGEST THING IN BASEBALL RIGHT NOW
The Item: Ronald Acuña 2017 Bowman's Best Green Refractor auto /99 (BGS 10-10)
The Price: $290 after 44 bids (active auction)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The early autograph cards for this young slugger typically get graded and put on eBay with new-car pricing but this card -- one that came just a .5 away from a perfect BGS Black slab -- is up as an active auction that will close in five days. His home run binge is something that we've already talked about here this week and it will be interesting to see where this one lands. Bowman's Best cards are typically overlooked vs. Chromes but they can command some good cash at times -- and it should do pretty well in a scenario like this where he's red-hot on the field.

THE VILLAINS OF SUPERMAN II
The Item: Superman II lobby card signed by Terence Stamp, Sarah Douglas and Jack O'Halloran (11x14 CGC 9.8 SS)
The Price: $1,000 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: There are plenty of comic book movies these days with plenty of big villains (and overbaked CGI tomfoolery), but if I had to pick one comic movie that transcends the limitations of its era it's this one. It wasn't computer-aided and it includes some of the best villains on the screen for movies who aren't named Vader, Joker or Quinn. These lobby cards alone are fun pieces to collect that won't break the bank but getting all three of these stars signed and witnessed by a CGC rep to get it authenticated is impressive. Now, kneeeeelllll before Zod.

BIG-TIME STAR POWER
The Item: 1962 Topps eight-card advertising sample sheet with Sandy Koufax, Roger Maris and Eddie Mathews
The Price: $16,995 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Topps Heritage buyers have been treated to three-card an panels in their boxes for years now and this one is an oldschool example of the blank-backed early previews that salesmen would use to pitch their upcoming cardboard to stores buying them. This panel include two Hall of Famers and a pair of other top names. The Koufax and Maris are billed as being perfect by the seller. The Maris card comes a year after his career season of 61 homers in 1961 and the Koufax is also a pricey card if in top condition. Will that price get met? Probably not, but the names are strong and a high-grade Maris can command big money -- see the link below. The Mathews you'll see there ain't shabby, either, though this one wouldn't get that kind of grade.

HER ONLY STANDARD TOPPS CARD
The Item: Aretha Franklin 2009 Topps American Heritage Presidential Medal of Freedom #12
The Price: $3.95 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: "The Queen of Soul" appeared on just a pair of standard-issue trading cards through the years despite a legendary career and life that inspired many. This card and one in the 1991 Starline Hollywood Walk of Fame set are your only card options and her cards are pretty much easy finds. This set is one that should be on the radar of fans of pop culture and history who don't have a lot of different appearances, though. Others in this one? Jesse Jackson, Mother Teresa, Billy Graham, Carol Burnett, Bill Cosby, Harper Lee, Charlton Heston, Jimmy Stewart, Andy Griffith and Fred (Mr.) Rogers to name a few. Franklin's autographs are getting the attention in the wake of her death but she appears to have been an available signer as you can find a number of her signed items -- ranging from throughout her career -- with third-party authentication easily.

DEFINITELY BUZZ-WORTHY
The Item: Mike Trout 2012 Salt Lake Bees game-used jersey (with team letter)
The Price: $125,000 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The seller calls this "the very best piece of Trout memorabilia" but there are a number of jerseys out there from throughout his career that are arguably bigger than this one. However, it's still a very solid piece -- probably not $125K-solid, though. The auction shows a number of images, which is good, and patch puckering that seems to match the action shots provided in the auction.
