GONE FISHING ... CAUGHT THE BIG ONE
The Item: Mike Trout 2018 Topps Transcendent Collection Emerald autograph (/15)
The Price: $599 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This guy is one of the big names found in not one but two 2018 Transcendent Collection releases from Topps last year and he's the star of the VIP party that high-rollers will attend this year, too. While everything is low-volume in this ultra-high-end brand, there are a few guys who can be found more than others -- Trout, Shohei Ohtani and Ichiro Suzuki for sure as Trout is the main star in the standard version's extra inclusions, while the two Japanese stars are the only players found in the Asian edition.

YOU CAN'T OWN HIS ROOKIE CARD
The Item: Larry Fogle 1975 Topps Vault original color negative
The Price: $9.95 opening bid (with six days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This item popped up on the Topps Vault and after a quick search of his name it got me wondering what other mysteries might pop up at any time. Why? Fogle was a second-round pick back in 1975 and played in just two games for the New York Knicks. One bucket on five attempts in 14 minutes with three rebounds, four fouls and a steal. Call that a career -- at least for the NBA -- and it was one that never had any cardboard -- at least for the NBA. Had he had a Topps RC this photo probably would have been it as Topps' shot him but the card never happened. A piece like this sitting in the vault the last 40-plus years ... what other possibilities might there be? Fogle ended up playing in the CBA with a championship team, was the playoff MVP that year, and later appeared on a pair of cards from TCMA. Per one of those cards, he averaged more than 22 points a game in his CBA career.

TURN THE PAGE
The Item: Not one but nine Decision 2016 sets (110 cards per) in album/pages
The Price: $299 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This product is a bit of a love-hate one for many -- so many inclusions one might love to hate -- but putting together not just one but nine sets of this somewhat-landmark release for political cardboard took some love to put together. (Or at least a lot of packs.) The various inserts and other autograph inclusions get the attention for the most part, but there are some base cards in the latter releases that aren't as easily found as they are only in certain boxes. These are the standard cards in that first release only. Most of the box prices haven't fallen that much because there are plenty of hits that can sell well here -- check out the links below.

THIS BROWN EQUALS GREEN
The Item: Baker Mayfield 2018 Panini Immaculate Collection Emerald Premium Patch Autos (/12)
The Price: $999.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This rarity came from a FOTL box and it's one for one of the NFL's most-watched rookies on a team that made some strong moves this past season. That makes this one a card to watch, simple as that. I haven't studied the Mayfield market but this one seems like it's priced to sell and it looks like a strongly designed and balanced card with good touches.

SOMETHING REALLY UNIQUE
The Item: 2017 Topps the Walking Dead Season 7 Rosita Ammo Shell Casing Relic (/20)
The Price: $76.49 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: These are easily among the most-unique memorabilia cards ever made and they can only be found in certain blaster boxes -- see that link below. Buzz pulled one back in the fall of 2017 and it's easily one of the craziest-looking cards I've pulled. They aren't the easiest pulls, but if I landed one they certainly are possible. The boxes these arrive in include a hit every time with relatively good odds for retail boxes and they are from a franchise that has a huge following but not necessarily a lot more cardboard to come in the future. In fact, nothing new has yet been announced. One the boxes and the few examples of these on eBay dry up, there could be some added interest (and dollars paid).
