(SAY) HEY NOW ... 
The Item: Willie Mays 2021 Topps Sterling Bat Knob Relics (1/1)
The Price: $17,999.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This huge pull is an example of the possibilities in this new high-end arrival from Topps, though I'm not sure it will get that much. (But the best offer feature is there for a reason.) The number of full Mays bats out there is perhaps not what it used to be -- at least for those available on the auction block -- but they're probably not going quite that high for the full item ... but anything seems possible these days. Sterling boxes aren't cheap but they include big stuff every time and this one is among the bigger possible finds with bat barrels, jersey letters and more possible. The Item: Jaylen Waddle 2021 Panini Legacy Under the Lights Diamond Auto (/10)
The Price: $799.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Early season NFL releases that ride the college colors hard work for me as a college collector and I suspect they work for many as we've seen plenty of them in recent years -- and there's been a lot more seemingly worked into them, too, like this dazzler of a rare auto. I picked this one out as a representative example of the stuff you might not expect to see inside packs of Legacy if you only looked at its box design. I'm not sure whether the price on this particular one is high or low but one other thing to consider with early cards is that you might get better-looking autos now vs. later after players have had to adjust to signing so much. This kind of card would be a keeper for me if I pulled one.

PRICEY ... BUT NOWHERE NEAR THE BIGGEST
The Item: Lewis Hamilton 2020 Topps Chrome Formula 1 Refractor (PSA 9)
The Price: $1,850 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: Think this card is pricey? Click here ... it's not. This landmark release and its Sapphire counterpart have global appeal with a limited number of autographed and numbered cards to go around ... and since it's a first it's also going to have legs in the future as it's a starting point for more to come. Lewis Hamilton is one of the giants in this one -- he's a seven time F1 champ -- and he's got a lot of different cards on the checklist with them all having a rainbow of parallels. Throw in ink and variations and there are a lot of pricey reasons to rip into the boxes, which include a good amount of color and Refractors. And he's not alone as somebody who is pricey here.

KINGS OF THE BALL
The Item: LaMelo Ball 2020-21 Panini Court Kings Aurora insert 
The Price: $3,875.24 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: What happens when you combine a top rookie with a rare pull in a premium brand? Stuff like this. Now, I don't know the market on this one -- it's just an example that had a solid photo in the listing (others may be cheaper) -- but anything is possible and my tip for the here and now is that if you're a believer in a player's long-term potential you should easily consider the rarest pulls first right now as they are more readily available on the auction block. Why? They may not be out there later ... and the volume of boxes remaining unopened drops daily. Slabbed volume RCs are nice, of course, but stuff like this just might have better name-your-price possibilities later.

A GREAT ONE
The Item: Babe Ruth 2021 Panini Diamond Kings DK Materials 
The Price: $1,499 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This guy is on the box but you shouldn't expect him to be inside there -- at least in this form -- every time but ... he's in there and the box price might be the cheapest of them all for the releases seen here. This card can't be a plentiful one, though it's not serial-numbered, so who knows how many others might pop up on the auction block in the future? That price might not be hit (I woudn't) but I suspect that a decent offer might be as this one has been on the block for a bit. It's a nice card ... and, again, it would be a keeper if I had landed it from a pack.
