eBay Buzz: Yaz & Vladdy Relics join Gina Carano & Tua ink

HALL OF FAME LUMBER
The Item: Carl Yastrzemski 2020 Topps Sterling Bat Knob Auto Relic (1/1)
The Price: $1,273 after 39 bids (six days remaining)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This year's return of Sterling includes a number of super-premium cards and I'd consider this to be one with a game-used bat knob from the other Yaz -- you know, the one in the Hall of Fame -- showcased here. While Mike Yastrzemski might be grabbing the attention of some fans, this guy is one who you don't see a boatload of cardboard for, let alone game-used stuff, in release after release. His lumber was marked with his uniform number here, eight, and a couple other markings and that's some of the magic with bat knob cards. (Check out the Darryl Strawberry card at the link below to see some of the other possibilities -- manufacturer and factory markings.) This one will be interesting to watch by the time it ends.

The Item: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2020 Topps Five Star jumbo MLB logo patch (1/1)
The Price: $2,999.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This BIN might be a little high unless Vladdy goes on some big hot streak, but it's a strong creation with an MLB logo from his jersey embedded into a card along with his autograph. The smaller signing space actually helps the sig in my mind (generally speaking it's not impressive) and the overall composition here works well on this card from a premium brand. It's a solid card and only one person can own it. There are some really strong patches -- hit that search below -- and some actually are not as rare as this one and might look even better.

A NEW WAVE IS HERE ... 
The Item: Gina Carano 2020 Topps Star Wars Authentics autographed 8-by-10 photo
The Price: $224.99 Buy-It-Now (or best offer)
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: The newest edition of the Star Wars Authentics blind-wrap photo boxes are here and Carano in her role in The Mandalorian is one of the inclusions this time. Each box includes a card only found in the release along with a signed photo and it's the draw of big names that get people ripping and there's a big checklist that includes stars from all areas of the franchise. Carano has a number of past card appearances from MMA and Star Wars but a signed photo might be more impressive than all of them if you land a combo of a striking image (they aren't all the same) and a big bold sig. SWA boxes have been on my to-rip list for a long time now and at some point I'm going to do it. This one makes my list here as I think it would be one of the better ones to own from the new wave. (Some of the biggest haven't popped up on eBay yet ... but they will.)

IT'S ALMOST TIME ...
The Item: Tua Tagovailoa 2020 Panini Prestige Rookies Xtra Points Signatures Platinum (/5)
The Price: $750 Buy-It-Now
Why it’s Buzz-worthy: This top star -- and I say that based on jersey sales so far -- is among the tougher pulls in this set (most players signed 10) and this card is one that meshes his college colors along with his pro colors as COVID kind of derailed the arrival of formal full-uni NFL RCs this year ... but in some cases like this one I think the combo works. Tagovailoa may or may not play immediately once they start playing but more NFL cards and September inching closer mean that football is coming, too. That got him here this time ... that and the Joe Burrow card from this set (also /5) had a rough photo on eBay.
