Explore Prizm affordably with this potential-packed format

If you like to crunch the numbers and chase things without breaking the bank, this box might be for you.

Especially if you're a soccer fan and into Prizm.

Buzz was scrolling The Soccer Sale and noticed that the 40-box lots of 2021/22 Panini Prizm Premier League Soccer cereal boxes were up for grabs with a slasher price that might entice anybody to rip in there.

Each box of this one includes 25 cards -- 20 base cards from a 300-card set, an insert card from one of six sets, one Silver Prizm parallel and then three Wave Prizm parallels that are only found in this format. Yes, there are a lot of parallels across the board in this release ... but based on some quick eBay searches they're probably more likely to be found from the boxes where people are ripping to hopefully find the rare numbered stuff or autographs. This format doesn't have ink ... but that's one reason why its price isn't that steep now.

One Silver per pack gives you that one in 300 shot at pretty much anybody in there ... and that same ballpark ratio comes up with the Waves, though some might be harder or easier depending on the mix. There are Blue Wave, Red Wave and Pink Wave cards to be found here with the Silvers ... and that's it. The inserts include Widescreen, Brilliance, Fireworks, Emergent, Scorers Club and Instant Impact -- no parallels of those here, just the basics. The colors only found here might be overlooked, too, making stuff here perhaps not as easy as one might think as people rip into those other formats over this affordable one.

So, with clean collation, you get 800 base cards -- two and a third sets if it's perfect (though it likely won't be) -- and then 40 Silvers, 40 inserts and 120 Waves of a few colors. If the right names line up on color? Cristiano Ronaldo on a few shades? (Click that link ... that might sell you more than I can given the prices.) Well, then things could get interesting at a sale price that, well, is less than $7.50 a box. At worst, this is a way to work up a set or two or maybe start a run at a master set with some decent star power ... but you never know. The best time to dabble is when it's cheap. Of course, grading of any key name here or stars on colors also could make this one a bargain, too, depending on who you land.
