Fast Five: Boxes Buzz would be ripping right now

This one is a quick idea for a new department here on The Buzz ... Fast Five -- a quick list under a simple topic that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection. It's a basic list of five items that could be fun for a starting collector or a new way to add to a stash that might already seemingly include everything when it comes to cardboard. For some of you, it's probably common sense. For others of you out there, it's something to think about.

This time? Five boxes Buzz would be ripping right now ... for a few reasons.

IT'S DELIVERED FOR ME ...

This year's MLB season may not be here yet -- just like a lot of its cardboard -- but this brand without a premium price tag has delivered well for me a couple times. If you're a fan of throwback styles and traditional stuff, you should know this already -- Heritage is a must-do -- but if you're more of a newer collector this is a brand that has been going for 20 years and been popular. You don't land ink every time but when you do it can impress with some big potential. The quirks and variations here also add to the potential.

KEEP IT SIMPLE ...

Want to try something on the cheaper side? This one is it -- you get an autographed photo in every box but then there are other things also potentially found, too. Check out the front of the box here for a taste of the big possibilities. For the price, it's worth the look -- they can't all deliver big but when you land something big you're ahead.

THEY'RE BACK ... 
Check out 2018 NASCAR boxes here
NASCAR is the first sport that will return to live action this year -- fan-free -- and with that thought in mind I might point you to some NASCAR boxes from a specific year that could pack some more heat than others. The 2018 boxes include the first cards from Hailie Deegan -- a newcomer you won't yet see at the top levels but she's outselling the competition. Check her 2018 cards then check the box prices ... it's worth dabbling -- and there might be a little more interest in stuff when Sunday action gets going.

A SOLID CROP ...

I don't normally dabble with a ton of football draft picks, but this year's rookie crop has had be checking out all of the possibilities this year and this one is an affordable rip with three hits per that I'll be ripping into soon. (Oddly, I haven't found this one at retail yet ... but you can hit the link to get yours.) Mine's incoming and you'll see the results here soon. SAGE has been in the game for a long time and can include big names as well as a lot of other guys who may not have ink elsewhere.

USE THE FORCE ...
A 2020 Topps Star Wars Authentics Autographed 11-by-14 photo & trading card box
I pondered this one hard not that long ago but opted for a different Star Wars box among a few new Buzz Breaks you'll see here in the coming days. This one includes just what the name says -- an 11-by-14 autographed photo and then a numbered trading card. These include stars from around the Star Wars galaxy and as you can see some of the biggest names from the films are possible. You might want to check all of the boxes in the category as May The Fourth (be with you) means sales.
