Fast Five: Five things Buzz will explore in 2020 Score NFL

This one is a quick idea for a new department here on The Buzz ... Fast Five -- a quick list under a simple topic that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection. It's a basic list of five items that could be fun for a starting collector or a new way to add to a stash that might already seemingly include everything when it comes to cardboard. For some of you, it's probably common sense. For others of you out there, it's something to think about.

This time? Five things I'll be exploring in 2020 Score NFL.

ALTERNATE TEAMS
The Cards: Jalen Hurts in Alabama colors
This year's version of Score includes some players who played for more than one notable team in their college careers and that's something that you don't see all that often for college cardboard -- typically it's tied to their final team. No. 1 pick Joe Burrow can be found on both Ohio State and LSU cardboard, while No. 53 pick Jalen Hurts can be found with both Alabama and Oklahoma cards. These all have ink and parallels making the chase of something a little easier than some single-card SP variation but also more challenging if you want to do a comprehensive player rainbow. This one will be something I look for in my collecting experience with this new NFL release, which is out now for hobby boxes and should be arriving out at retail everywhere else any time now. CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES ...
The Cards: 2020 Score Celebration insert set (10 cards ... all with parallels)
Not that long ago, some said the NFL stood for No Fun League but something we've seen in recent sets here is a simple insert like this one that nails down specific moments from the season rather than some action shot that could be from anywhere at any time. Celebration might not be as slick this year -- and it's a small set, too -- but it's one that has five parallels for all 10 cards here (all /100 or less ... and most way less) and some notable players are on the checklist. I picked this card here as it's also an example where good photos and cardboard cameos could add interest to cards, too.

THE WEIRD ONE ... 
The Cards: 2020 Score Deep Dive insert set (10 cards ... all with parallels)
Sometimes odd cardboard can stand out over time and be memorable later. That might be the case with this one in 2020 Score as it takes action shots of players diving for a first down or for a pylon and puts them into some type of underwater scene. Why? I dunno ... but I'd also say "Why not?" If it's not your thing, it shouldn't be that big of a deal as it's just a 10-card set with just four parallels per card (none serial-numbered). It's also a set that includes 10 mostly young stars with Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Deshaun Watson, Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara among them ... so there are reasons to grab 'em.

... PLANETARY!
The Cards: 2020 Score Intergalactic inserts (20 cards)
Think Score NFL is only about autographs, super-rare parallels and standard cardboard? Well, it's about those things not just only those things as these Intergalactic inserts are rarer lenticular cards that change images as you move the card. It's not a new thing to find in packs -- it's been around a long, long time -- but it's on the rare side here. And some of them are commanding some big bucks on eBay. It's a 20-card set that will be tough to build via packs and pricey to build via singles.

THIS IS JUST A TRIBUTE

I haven't gotten my hands on any boxes just yet, but the final inclusion in this one to make my list is one that could be chased over time. It's a 20-card look back at the career of the great one via reprints of his past Score cards. There are 20 cards in this one with the super-rare and super-big chase here 20 1/1 autographs (one of each one) that do the same.
