Fast Five is a quick list that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection or new focus -- five things that could be fun for a beginner or a new way to add something to your stash if you're a grizzled veteran.

This time? Five past movies Buzz wants to see on card sets. New Oscar nominations? No need for me -- I'm not sure I have seen any of the movies up for honors this year. I'm too busy Buzzing with cardboard but I can do a film twist here today. How about some films that I'd want to see on cardboard? I can totally do that ... though it's not easily said and done for card companies to do so with licensing costs and the reality that sets need autographs today -- so Hollywood A-lister ink is a big obstacle.

NEED THIS ONE IN WIDEVISION ...
Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Remember the days when Topps took its "tallboy" card size and flipped it sideways to show off widescreen scenes from Star Wars movies? Fury Road is one of those kinds of movies where landscapes and dramatic visuals would make for some cool cards. Among the cast members are some big names then and some names that are perhaps bigger now, too. Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Riley Keough are of note here. (If you don't know some of them, Google them.) You have seen some of them elsewhere on cardboard already but this one would be far about more than just ink. It's not my flashiest pick here but it's the newest film from my top-of-my-head list ... you know, a fast five.

Keep reading for four more.

THROW IN THE SEQUEL, TOO ...
Kill Bill: Vol. 1 ... and Vol. 2 (2003 & 2004)
Upper Deck has had the card/poster rights for Miramax stuff but that studio's stuff may be up in the air with all the ownership issues and changes in recent years. But this one has a deep list of stars and a number of them have been found on card sets and with autos in the past, too, including creator Quentin Tarantino. Among them? Uma Thurman, Daryl Hannah, Lucy Liu, Michael Madsen, David Carradine, Vivica A. Fox, Sonny Chiba, Michael Parks and others. Not all of them are still alive but there are so many moments and characters that could make for some cool cardboard. (This one also might look pretty good in a wide-card format ... think "Stadium Club" with all the visuals from this classic. Throw in the second one to get Gogo, Mrs. Harmony and Rufus in there ... maybe Rocket, B.B. and definitely Pai Mei. Or at least that's your perfect Series 2 set.

NOT AS FLASHY, BUT ...
Death Proof (2007)
This one isn't nearly as flashy as Kill Bill's genre -- this one is from a double-feature known as Grindhouse that celebrated oldschool error-laden movies full of blood and guts, over-the-top characters and an emphasis on cheap thrills, cheap kills, stunts and more. A ton of the names seen in this Tarantino classic you have seen on card and you have seen them in many other places, too. Some have ink -- actually many do -- but others don't. The cast includes Kurt Russell, Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Ferlito, Jordan Ladd, Rose McGowan, Sydney Tamila Poitier, Tracie Thoms, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Zoë Bell, Eli Roth, Marley Shelton and The Crazy Babysitter Twins. The whole Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez movie universes are loaded with actors who have had more than one role and tons of fans ... a lot of them showed up in past Americana card sets but seeing them all in one spot in characters would be cool. But there's all that licensing money and cost vs. widespread appeal to justify it all ... especially when big names have gone on to big things later. (That's probably why more TV sets can happen ... actors aren't as well-established yet, keeping their signing prices lower.)

THE SPORTS PICK
A League of Their Own (1992)
This isn't my favorite baseball movie but it's one that has a big cast and perhaps wider appeal than the typical sports film as it focuses on the real-world All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. It's a classic and its creator actually died a few years ago -- though Penny Marshall does have past cards and autos in some past card sets -- but the cast it deep and has some heavyweights in there. Tom Hanks, Geena Davis, Madonna, Lori Petty, Jon Lovitz, Rosie O'Donnell, David Strathairn, Garry Marshall and Bill Pullman for starters and then the team also has many others who are memorable and could sign on. All of these films could make for solid card sets even without ink but ... imagine the possible Jimmy Dugan autograph inscriptions possible here.

THEY STAY THE SAME AGE (ON FILM)
Dazed and Confused (1993)
This is another group ensemble that is loaded with young names then who are A-listers now, which probably makes making this Richard Linklater classic into cardboard an impossibility but it's also one that's loaded with moments, music, immense memorabilia options (paddle relics and baseball jerseys?), cool cars and more that could all make for a fun 1970s-styled set. Among the names in the cast? Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Joey Lauren Adams, Parker Posey, Milla Jovovich, Rory Cochrane, Adam Goldberg, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Burke, Wiley Wiggins and more ... and if you don't know their names you'll probably know their faces from many roles in all the years since this one was made. So many memorable lines and scenes could make for so many cool cards.
