Fast Five is a quick list that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection or new focus -- five things that could be fun for a beginner or a new way to add something to your stash if you're a grizzled veteran.

This time? Five names in the news you could collect

MR. MVP?
Eddie Rosario, OF, Atlanta Braves:
With Atlanta a win away from the World Series it's been this guy who has been a surprising and dominating performer for a team loaded with young and popular options for collecting. He's not that -- he's a trade grab earlier this year -- but he doesn't have a lot of past cards at key points (first prospect and Rookie Cards) and that makes for an easier and cheaper (so far) option to collect somebody on a heater. He's a free agent after this season ends but he's been playing so well that could mean he stays or dollar signs if he goes. He had a two-homer game last night (the second homer spoiled his chance at the cycle) and it was his second four-hit game of the NLCS (10-for-17) where he's hitting .588. He doesn't have a boatload of cards overall and has Rookie Cards in just five 2015 releases -- Bowman Chrome, Topps Update, Topps Chrome Update, Topps Heritage High Number and then an auto-mem RC in National Treasures limited to 99 copies. His Bowman Draft debut was way back in 2010 and his only other prospect cards that year are in Pro Debut. His stuff isn't super-pricey but his playing so well should mean more of the rarer stuff gets posted out there if you're looking.

Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.

ON THE MOVE AT THE TRADE DEADLINE?
Marlon Mack, RB, Indianapolis Colts: He's dropped on the depth chart in Indy -- probably rightfully so given the talents there and last season where he played just one game where he was hurt and out for the year -- but two years ago he was a 1,000-yard rusher with eight TDs and the year before that he had 908 and nine TDs. There's chatter that teams like the Chiefs might be interested here ... that might spark some interest in his 2017 Rookie Cards and autos that are definitely overlooked in the hunt for the big names that year.

NIL NEWCOMERS
Bryce Young, QB, Alabama Crimson Tide: Is it just me or have we not really seen much cardboard yet from the new NCAA  NIL -- name, image likeness -- rules other than some stuff that debuted at The National and then online singles releases here and there? In some ways (Spencer Rattler) that might be a good thing, but all has not been lost as Bryce Young has put up the numbers for Alabama this season. He's thrown for 2,082 yards and 24 TDs with just three picks to justify some of that booster money being paid for his ink. Had planned releases been out sooner (one delayed, one coming off the top of my head) there might be even higher prices paid for names in the news. My biggest overall point here? Don't discount the flip life and an extended shelf life for cards of NIL players -- top stars may come and go without future success but they could be stars for years to come, too, both as college legends and then as pros.

WWE'S NEW QUEEN
Zelina Vega has had quite an odd year and overall successful run with WWE but things appear to just be getting started on something new. Just today she won the first WWE Queen's Crown tournament -- after being dismissed and then re-hired not that long ago -- which means she should figure into a lot more programming for the coming months with a regal persona and more talking, which is important. (And she can do that very well.) Buzz does have to wonder whether her serious fandom of Aaliyah -- the Queen of the Damned -- might come into play, too. (I'm 99.9 percent sure there's already previously been cosplay posts online.) Her cards are affordable but she's not signed for every release and that could make things interesting if her profile gets dramatically increased on Raw.

START WITH A BRAVE, END WITH A BRAVE ...
Max Fried, SP, Atlanta Braves: Last night's star was Rosario but tonight's for the Braves might be this guy as he gets the ball for a potential pennant-clincher and World Series berth. Asking prices on his 2018 rookie autos -- especially the basic stuff -- are a bit nutty on eBay right now exactly due to this timing but he's got a lot to choose from the year if you're just looking for stuff you can collect. Slabbed Chromes have big asking prices meanwhile, this Gold sold in a slab for less than $150 not that long ago. (Fried also has prospect cards back to 2012 but those aren't all in a Braves uniform.) He went 14-7 with a 3.04 ERA and 8.6 strikeouts per nine innings during the season and in the postseason he's 1-0 with nine strikeouts in six scoreless innings last series. Forget all those, though, tonight's is the biggie ... for the season and perhaps (so far) for his cardboard.
