This one is a quick idea for a new department here on The Buzz ... Fast Five -- a quick list under a simple topic that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection. It's a basic list of five items that could be fun for a starting collector or a new way to add to a stash that might already seemingly include everything when it comes to cardboard. For some of you, it's probably common sense. For others of you out there, it's something to think about.
This time? First-rounders I'd be watching on cardboard ...
THE SURPRISE?
Jordan Love, QB, Packers
Remember last year when the Giants picked Daniel Jones sixth overall in the draft out of Duke and plenty of people had plenty to say about it? Remember how Jones played last year? Those things may not really apply here, but beyond the obvious big names I think the Packers' trade up to get this Utah State QB might have stole the show chatter-wise and that should translate into attention for his football cards. The obstacle that is future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers might scare some people off of his cards, but we may have a while before game action determines anything this year.
Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.
THE OVERLOOKED ONE?
Henry Ruggs III, WR, Raiders
Alabama had four players go in the first 14 picks and this guy might not have been atop most peoples' minds when it comes to cards. Even if he does nothing (that won't happen), he'll always be the answer to the trivia question "Who was the first Las Vegas Raiders draft pick?" and his college numbers will always have some people (Buzz among them) picking them up based on past successes. He was the fastest guy at the NFL Combine with a 4.27 40-yard dash. Fun stat from the past? He had just 98 catches in his career but 24 were for TDs. Now imagine if he hadn't been sharing the field with another receiver who went in the first round. (Just saying.) People love to latch onto Raiders players, too, but many haven't really paid off. Is he the one?

THE FIRST RB
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Chiefs
The national champs' RB went to the Super Bowl champs with the final pick last night and he was the first taken at his position. That trivia seemed to help the cards of the guy who landed that designation last year (some), so it's perhaps a thought here, too. One NFL writer out there called this pick "another step toward establishing one of the most fearsome offensive dynasties in modern NFL history." That's probably more about the team he's going to, but if he's a good fit and continues to play well ... it may not be hyperbole.

THE NO-BRAINER
Joe Burrow, QB, Bengals
Like it was seemingly a given he'd trade his Tigers colors for some Bengals colors, it's a given that collectors will latch onto his cardboard. (They have and they will.) His college stats are stupid so you have to pay attention. Simple as that. How soon he shows up on the field is the question and 10-year veteran Andy Dalton is in the final part of a contract paying him $17.7 million this season ... so we'll see.

THE MEDICAL GAMBLE
Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Dolphins
No need to Tank for Tua ... they got him anyway. One of college football's most-dominating QBs in years was the king of his program even with injuries, playing time questions that led the other QB to head to Oklahoma (and we'll probably see him drafted soon) and then the catastrophic finish of his college career. Had he not been hurt, there could have easily have been more crazy highlights and successes in a career that was loaded with them. He's firmly atop my watch list for myself but the injury scenario -- and being in Miami -- do offer up risk here. But if you look at what he's done, he could have/should have been taken even higher without the hip injury. There's big potential and big risk here ... but that just adds to his story.
