Fast Five is a quick list that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection or new focus -- five things that could be fun for a beginner or a new way to add something to your stash if you're a grizzled veteran.
This time? Five NFL players who impressed Buzz in Week 8.
THE LONE WOLF
Elijah Mitchell -- RB, 49ers (Rookie Cards in 2021 boxes)
Only one running back topped the 100-yard mark this week and it was this guy, who has barely cracked the NFL cardboard ranks with uniformed cards in just a few sets so far this year. This sixth-round pick out of Louisiana had 18 carries for a career-high 137 yards and a TD in a 33-22 win over the Bears on Sunday. It was his third 100-yard game of the year -- and he's only played five games -- and the 49ers have won each of those. He's made this list before -- as more of a dark-horse pick -- but three big games in just five played might mean something more. The next-highest RB yardage this week? Just 91. Mitchell's auto isn't much to write home about -- I loathe initial-graphs, myself -- and he's got a few draft picks appearances, too, but his NFL uniform cards are what should get the look from both quick-flippers and those holding for a little longer this season.
Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.
SAME GAME, SIMILAR HIGHLIGHTS
Justin Fields -- QB, Bears (Rookie Cards in 2021 boxes)
His final passing numbers are pedestrian or even weak for a QB this week but his 103 rushing yards (and a score) were only topped by Mitchell. Fields' team might be messy but he's put up highlight moments this season for sure and he can get it done with the feet as well as the arm. That's not uncommon at all in today's game but it should be a reminder why his stuff should be watched. I'd dabble with the cheaper cards more than the bigs -- if he does well, the cheaper stuff in an NFL uni should pick up steam.

LAST MAN STANDING?
A.J. Brown -- WR Titans (Rookie Cards in 2019 boxes)
With Derrick Henry perhaps out of commission and Julio Jones looking nothing like the Hall of Fame-bound player of years past -- at least so far -- the other big name with the Tennessee offense might get more looks both on the field and cardboard. He was one of eight 100-yard receivers this week and his 155 yards was only topped by Deeb Samuel's 171. Brown had 10 catches to get there and added a touchdown. I wouldn't chase his biggest cards, but even those might be slightly cheaper than some other names seen here and others on his team.

CAN'T STOP, WON'T STOP ...
Tom Brady -- QB, Bucs (Rookie Cards in 2000 boxes)
Sure, his team lost and there were a number of QBs with surprise starts or showings in place of others that might give their cards some short-term spark, but Brady simply went out and did what he alway does. He had 375 yards, four TDs and two picks in the loss and only one QB threw for more yards (Mike White, 405). Nobody else had four TDs through the air. His stuff isn't cheap but all of the numbers are there ... it's crazy to think that his super-saturated priced cards can be good deals, but over the long-term they might be.

IMPRESSIVE AGAIN
Michael Pittman Jr. -- WR, Colts (Rookie Cards in 2020 boxes)
Pittman was targeted 15 times and had 10 catches for 86 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday. The targets and the TDs led all WRs (two others also had two) and only one player caught more. He's had four TDs in the last four weeks -- this his first two-TD game of his career -- and last week was his second 100-yard game of his season. (He only had one last year.) He's topped his stats from last season already and looks like he could be an emerging name for a team with talents already. A strong QB, a strong RB and a strong young WR playing well should make for more cardboard attention. How much? That depends on how the rest of the season goes.
