Fast Five is a quick list that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection or new focus -- five things that could be fun for a beginner or a new way to add something to your stash if you're a grizzled veteran.

This time? Five NFL players who impressed Buzz in Week 9.

ANOTHER BIG WEEK
Jonathan Taylor -- RB, Colts (Rookie Cards in 2020 boxes)
To me, this week was all about the ground game at least when it came to the standouts and that started with this guy's monster showing on Thursday night. He had 19 carries for 172 yards and two TDs in a 45-30 win over the Jets. If you're a regular reader of this piece each week, then you have seen him before -- and every time he has a big game like this there are fewer and fewer steals to be found out there as more and more collectors know his name. He's reached 100 yards four times this year and this was his best day, yet though he had a 145-yard, two-TD game last month. He's got 821 yards and eight TDs on the ground this year and had a TD catch as part of a 116-yard game last month. This former second-round pick is a must-grab if you're watching football cards right now though Marlon Mack's arrival and then poof should be kept in mind, too.

Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.

ANOTHER BIG WEEK II
Nick Chubb -- RB, Browns (Rookie Cards in 2018 boxes)
Taylor was the only RB ahead of this guy on the yardage sheet this week but there's a reason this 1/1 Gold Vinyl parallel is on eBay with a hefty price right now. He had two TDs and 137 yards on 14 carries in a 41-16 rout of the Bengals. If you ask me, Baker Mayfield's stock is down and this guys' is way up in Cleveland ... but they'll both get a lot of attention if they get things done this year. Mayfield has always been pricier but I think Chubb is a better buy. Both are under contract for a few years, too, so they'll get their shots at big things there.

ALL-AROUND DOMINANCE
Lamar Jackson -- QB, Ravens (Rookie Cards in 2018 boxes)
Remember me? Only five guys hit the 100-yard mark rushing this week and Jackson checked in third behind the guys you have seen already. He didn't have a TD with his feet but his three passing TDs were tied for tops in the league this week -- Tom Brady was off -- and he had 266 yards in a 34-31 overtime win vs. the Vikings. It wasn't long ago that Jackson looked like one of the biggest deals on NFL cardboard -- he still has the potential to be but the attention is perhaps elsewhere right now with RCs that have arrived since his time. Now might be the time to look for some bargains.

UPS & DOWNS
DeVonta Smith -- WR, Eagles (Rookie Cards in 2021 boxes)
Only five WRs/TEs got to 100 yards this week and, to me, this former Heisman winner might have been the surprising one of the bunch with five catches for 116 yards and a score. It was just his second score of the season but wasn't his best yardage (122 vs. the Chiefs in Week 4) but his targets seem consistently high with 31 in the last five weeks ... that's a good sign in my mind. His sluggish -- or at least mediocre at times -- start may have taken some of the luster off his cardboard but that just makes for better bargain hunting if you ask me.

--

REMEMBER ME?
James Conner -- RB, Cardinals (Rookie Cards in 2017 boxes)
He was a dominator at times with his past team and with Kyler Murray out this week the RB got the ball and showed how it's done. He had 21 carries for 96 yard and two TDs and then caught all five passes his way for 77 yards and one more score in a 31-17 win over the 49ers. I don't see him being as big of a deal now for collectors vs. times in the past but his season totals are strong -- 10 rushing TDs on only 454 yards. Murray still probably gets more hobby attention but you should be able to find some bargains with this guy among a loaded 2017 rookie crop.
