This one is a new department here on The Buzz ... Fast Five -- a quick list under a simple topic that might offer a basic starting point for a themed collection. It's a basic list of five items that could be fun for a starting collector or a new way to add to a stash that might already seemingly include everything when it comes to cardboard. For some of you, it's probably common sense. For others of you out there, it's perhaps something to ponder.

This time? Five players who interest me on draft night

WHERE WILL AARON RODGERS GO?
The No. 1 pick in the draft sounds like it's a no-surprises no-brainer this year ... Trevor Lawrence at No. 1 ... but what about the rest? The experts and amateur analysts say it's a good crop of QBs (I'm just a collector) and it seems that collecting/flipping/whatever you want to call it for football cards right is pretty much all about QBs, QBs, QBs and maybe an RB or WR or two. The Aaron Rodgers stories that are coming out literally right now make it seem like the biggest trade returns for the future Hall of Famer would be before the draft ... but will that affect QBs? I dunno ... but it could. So, is Rodgers one of my five players here? Not really -- he's established and expensive -- the question is who's the next Green Bay Packers QB. If it's Jordan Love, OK ... there's potential with his cards that's there now that wasn't perhaps a few hours ago. But ... what if the Packers get a QB in return? There might be less interest or need for Jordan cards than a few hours ago. And a trade of a guy like this could basically flip over the table for a lot of teams draft-wise if they are in there early and needing an arm ... you might even have a Jeopardy! joke in there somewhere.

Keep reading for four more making up the list this time.

DEVONTA SMITH, WR
The Heisman Trophy winner isn't big ... but he's fast and he was ridiculous this past season (and beyond that) for the Alabama Crimson Tide as one of that storied program's greats. Where he'll land might spark some instant gloom or instant doom for his cardboard chances ... and I'll admit it ... the WRs from that school have had hit and miss experiences in the NFL the last few years, though I'll still collect 'em. I'll be collecting him, too, matter what but not necessarily spending big ... where he lands will help determine how big those prices might be, though. He also might not even be the first player taken from his team in the first round.

TREY LANCE, QB
The smaller schools' stars have been getting plenty of NFL scout attention for years -- but now they're getting the attention of more collectors as elite-level draft picks. This guy could have some bargain-priced cards at times compared to big-program guys despite strong past showings ... and how big or small those prices might be depends on where he lands. If he ends up in a good spot, then there's good potential if he delivers. If he ends up somewhere where he'll be waiting longer to play? Well, there will be bargains but maybe not as much up-side. (A big-program guy in a rough spot for immediate NFL playing time will still have more potential college fans will keep buying.)

--

KYLE PITTS, TE
The Florida Gators star seems like a name that keeps popping up as can't-miss ... so he makes my list. Would I be buying? It depends on where he lands ... a TE on a high-profile team or a team that likes to chuck it does get attention for those targets. They can also be fun to collect as they might not command as much cash as an RB or top WR ... though if he's the highest TE ever taken in the draft? Maybe he will be that "unicorn" that some say he is.

--

NAJEE HARRIS, RB
I wasn't going to put a second Alabama guy on this list, but one mock draft today threw out a team name I thought was interesting for him ... the Pittsburgh Steelers. (Plus, the mock had six Alabama guys as first-rounders ... can't just do one.) That's a huck-it, chuck-it football team for sure, but what if they have an RB who can carry the load when he's called like he did in college? (The Steelers have had them ... and they have won in the past, too.) Steelers' WR cards have been scorchers in the recent past when players performed well ... so the collectors are there.
