What: 2016-17 SPx hockey cards
Arrives: Feb. 1, 2017
Box basics: One autograph, one memorabilia and one "technology card" along with one additional type of those cards per four-pack box (10 boxes per case)

What's buzz-worthy: SPx gets a revamp with one card per pack but each box assuring the rundown above as part of a new hockey season with some new features.

The Basics: One new feature here is the Shadow Box Rookie Card, which can be found as base (/299), Red Material (/249), Blue Autograph (/199) and Gold Auto-Patch (/99) versions. In the mix also will be SPx Rookies, which will be tiered with jersey, patch, auto-patch and auto-tag versions. ... Also to be found will be Extreme Black Holo Shield cards with holographic NHL shields that also will have autographed versions of past and present players. ... On the memorabilia side there will be Extravagant Materials, Double XL Materials and Ice Shredders each with parallels based on memorabilia types. ...
