What's buzz-worthy: A meaty base set with retro style enhanced with plenty of modern-day features and collectable options continuing what we've seen in recent years from Upper Deck will help fuel the interest here without an overabundance of "hits" in a case.

The Basics: The base set will consist of 660 cards with an insert lineup that included O-Pee-Chee Patches, Rainbow parallels, rare mascot cards, playing cards, Retro variations, O-Pee-Chee V inserts and autographs from stars as well as Team Canada. ... Autographed will be found one in every 192 packs for OPC Signatures and one in 384 for Team Canada. ... High Series inserts will include Marquee Rookies, Season Highlights, League Leades and Team Checklists. ... The Patches cards will be base, Rookies/Legends, All-Star Logo, Vintage All-Star Logos, Rare Vintage All-Star Logos, Mascots and Rare Mascots, which are one in every 31,296 packs and by far the rarest cards among those teased. ... Retro parallels are one in every two packs, while Rainbows are one four and Black Rainbow return with serial-numbered print runs of just 100 copies.
