What: 2016-17 Upper Deck Trilogy hockey cards

Box basics: Four cards per pack, eight packs per box (10 boxes per case; hits per box were not disclosed)

What's buzz-worthy: Trilogy is back with one of the biggest draws being 33 top rookies each on three different set designs -- that comes along with many of the things collectors have come to expect from the brand.

The Basics: A 50-card base set will be capped by RCs that are limited to 999 for standard rookies, 375 for uncommon rookies and 49 for inscribed auto rookies. Each also will have Blue and Black parallels, while a Green Rainbow parallel will be found for rookies with jerseys (/999), patches (/35) and tags (/5). ... Ice Scripts will have autos from past and present stars on Plexiglass, while Signature Pucks have a different feel. ... Also in play will be Triple Relics and Tryptics with themed memorabilia and autograph cards.
