What's buzz-worthy: Topps' high-end acetate-framed authentication showcase returns for another season with two cards per box and plenty of modern design that "pushes the envelope of what a baseball card can look and feel like."

The Basics: First up in 2016 Topps Strata are the Clearly Authentic Autographed Relics that will have as many as nine versions per player -- Blue (/99), Green (/75), Black (/50), Gold (/25), Red MLB Logoman (/1), Red Laundry Tag (/1), Red Button (/1), Red Button Hold (/1) and Rd Majestic Patch (/1). ... The Clearly Authentic Relic lineup also will include a similar rainbow with one added card being a game-used baseball version (/3). ... Strata Autos will have Orange (/125), Blue (/99), Green (/75), Black (/50), Gold (/25) and 1/1 Red versions. ... Signature Patches will be limited to 25 copies with a Gold (/5) and 1/1 Rivet version. ... Strata Signatures will be found also with Gold (/25) and 1/1 Red versions, while a cut checklist will consist of 1/1s and Dual Auto cards limited to just five copies. ... A checklist was not released.
