What's buzz-worthy: Panini's Donruss soccer line is back for a new season on the pitch after a campaign off and it returns with jumbo 30-card packs that offer plenty of cardboard.

The Basics: A typical box of this one will include 24 Rated Rookies, 12 Optic Rated Rookies, 36 inserts and 36 parallel cards per box atop of the ink and the base cards. There will be 200 cards in the base set with 25 of those being Rated Rookies and the mix including 30 of the world’s best teams -- club and country. Each card will have seven hobby-only Press Proof parallels -- Silver, Die-cuts (/100), Gold (/75), Canvas (/25), Gold die-cuts (/10), Blue (/5) and 1/1 Purple. Each card also will have 10 Optic parallels -- standard, Holo, Aqua (/149), Orange (/99), Red Velocity (/50), Black Velocity (/25), Gold (/10), Green (/5), Gold Vinyl (1/1) and autographs. Those will be hobby-only with Blue, Gold and Gold Vinyl and they will range from 99 copies down to just one. ... Among the autographs will be The Beautiful Game cards that will have Gold (/75), Blue (/10) and 1/1 Purple as well as dual, triple and quad versions. Autos teased there include Lionel Messi, Pele and Carlo Ancelotti. ... Road to France autos will have the same three parallels as it focuses on the USA Women’s National Team with ink from Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan, Julie Ertz and Tobin Heath in the mix. ... Inserts will include Elite Series, Legends, Dominators, Out of This World, Magicians and 1989 Donruss Tribute -- with Silver, Gold (/75), Blue (/10) and 1/1 Purple parallels. Titans, X-Ponential Power, Illusions, Explosive, Chain Reaction and Preferred will be Optichrome inserts and each of those will have Silver, Gold (/10) and 1/1 Gold Vinyl parallels. ...
