What's buzz-worthy: Topps goes with the format that it introduced for Bowman Chrome last year with HTA Choice boxes that are autograph-only with their own features and a traditional release that includes standard cards and more via the traditional mini-box format.

The Basics: HTA Choice boxes will include only three cards -- all autos -- with four exclusive parallels atop the other possibilities. Prospect autos found only here will include Green Atomic (/99), Gold Shimmer (/50), Orange Wave (/25) and Black Mojo (1/1). The prospect Refractor auto rainbow beyond these also found elsewhere will include standard (/499), Purple (/250), Blue (/150), Green (/99), Gold (/50), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors. Orange Refractors will only be had in hobby boxes and will be limited to 25.

Rookie Autographs will be the home of Shohei Ohtani autos and just like the prospects include the following Refractor types -- standard, standard, Blue, Green, Gold, Red and Superfractors. Once again Orange will only be in hobby boxes and the volumes will be the same as the prospects.

Among the other autograph inserts will once again be Prime Chrome Signatures with Orange parallels (/25, HTA Choice only) and 1/1 Supers along with Peaks of Potential autos (/99) that will only have Supers and Orange Refractors. Rounding out the HTA Choice boxes will be 2018 Bowman Sterling (/99) autos with Oranges and Supers, Chrome Auto Relics (/TBD) with Golds (/50) and Supers and All-American game autos (/199).

Over in hobby boxes you get a full array of inserts and base cards with plenty more than just ink on the table and a selection of cards spotlighting the Arizona Fall League as well. The 2017 AFL Fall Stars cards inserts will have Atomic (/150), Orange (/25), Superfractor and autograph versions to be found (/TBD volume) along with Bowman Scouts' Updates (same parallels). Also found only in hobby boxes will be Bowman Sterling inserts with Atomic, Orange and Supers. as well as Peaks of Potential cards with the same parallels and rookie sh0rt-print image variations, which will have autos, too. Prime Chrome Signatures also will be in the mix here (/50) with 1/1 Supers.  ... Auto Relics here will include AFL Fall Stars Relics with a few parallels, including Orange, Super and autos (and likely more), and Chrome Auto Relics with prospects, rookies and veterans getting a spot with Oranges, Supers and auto versions, too.

The standard Chrome Prospects set will have a number of parallels -- Refractor (/499), Purple (/250), Blue (/150), Green (/99) Gold (/50), Orange (/25), Red (/5) and 1/1 Superfractors. There also will be Shimmers -- Green, Gold, Orange and Black (same volumes) -- for the prospects, while the 100 veterans will have the same rainbow.
