What's buzz-worthy: Bowman Platinum returns to the retail aisle for another summer with the same formats as last year -- Collector Boxes, blaster boxes and jumbo packs -- with some of this year's biggest young names inside as well as MLB veterans and rookies.

The Basics: The 100-card base set will include MLB veterans and rookies with eight parallels per card and even more to chase fro 10 players who have image variations. The parallels will include Sky Blue (blasters only), Purple (/250), Blue (/150), Green (/99), Orange (/25 Collector Box only), Red (/10) and 1/1 FoilFractors. ... The prospects will have their own 100-card set with Ice parallels only in blasters, while the Sky Blue cards will only be found in jumbo packs. The rest of the parallel rainbow will be the same as the base set. ... For inserts, there will be Prismatic Prodigies (with autographed versions), Rookie Revelations (also with autos) and Platinum Presence. Each of these also will have Purple (/250), Green (/99), Orange (/25) and 1/1 FoilFractors. ... Also in the mix will be a set of short-prints for No. 2 draft pick Hunter Greene. ... Among the hits will be Platinum Patches with a jumbo patch piece, while parallel autographs will be made for top prospects in the basic prospect set. Those will have Blue, Green, Ice (/50), Orange, Red and FoilFractor parallels with the same volumes as standard parallels. ... There also will be an 80-Grade Prospect Auto set for top prospects with Red and Foilfractor versions and Platinum Rookie Auto Pieces -- autos and Relics for notable 2018 rookies with Orange and Foilfractor versions.
