What's buzz-worthy: Historic Autographs looks back at seven great teams in New York City MLB history for this first of at least two planned releases -- this one will include "an overload of Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Mickey Mantle and Joe DiMaggio autographs" for starters.

The Basics: There will be just 100 hand-numbered cases made for this one with the seven past teams including the 1949, 1951, 1953 and 1955 New York Yankees as well as the 1954 New York Giants and the 1952 and 1956 Brooklyn Dodgers. (Series 2 will take on teams not noted here from 1949 to 1956.) In that span, 14 of 16 teams in the World Series were from New York and the winner was from New York every year. According to the company, every player in every year has no less than five autographs to be found in this one. That means Robinson and Campanella have 10 cards apiece, while there are 30 Mantle, 20 DiMaggio, 20 Casey Stengel, 13 Willie Mays and 10 Gil Hodges autographs to be found -- and every case will include one of these players. Historic also notes that there will be a number of tougher autographs found here -- Stuffy Stirnweiss, Elston Howard, Don Bessent, Billy Cox, Carl Furillo, Jim Gilliam, Billy Martin, Joe Page and Hank Thompson to name a few.
