What's buzz-worthy: Contenders takes the field with a new twist on its famed Tickets that now include "stubs" and plenty of rookie energy in this new release.

The Basics: The typical hobby box of this one will include at least five autos with one of those being on-card, while there also will be 19 different inserts and parallels atop the base cards. New to the rookie lineup? Rookie Ticket Stubs (/99 max) with a diecut top edge to emulate a torn stub. Also new will be Clear Tickets (/10) printed on acetate. The Rookie Tickets also will have their standard auto cards, of course, and they'll be joined by MVP Contenders, Rookie of the Year Contenders and Golden Tickets. Those will be 14-karat gold 1/1s with Silver versions (/2). The MVP autos will be limited to no more than 49 copies with Gold (/10) and 1/1 Platinum versions, while the ROY cards will be out of 99 with the same parallels. ... Also in play here will be 20th Anniversary Rookie Tickets as well as Contenders to Canton (/20) autos that will be super-rare looks at Hall of Famers and past cards as well as Round Numbers that pair players and their ink based on their draft status. ... Rookie Tickets will have Playoff (/99 max), Championship (/49 mac), Cracked Ice (/24 max) and 1/1 Super Bowl versions. Standard RTs will also have variations with differences in photography and some design elements. ... Standard inserts will include Rookie of the Year Contenders, MVP Contenders, Legendary Contenders, Team Quads and Round Numbers. ... These 18-pack boxes carry a suggested retail price of $144 ($8 per pack).

Update (retail details): There will be five-pack blaster boxes ($19.99 suggested retail price) for this one with eight cards per pack and Rookie Ticket Swatches and dual-swatch versions only found in retail. Here's a breakdown of the approximated odds for blasters:
