What's buzz-worthy: As reported here previously, Topps Archives returns with the stars of The Sandlot and plenty more nostalgia from the real world of baseball, too, inside its packs this year.

The Basics: The 300-card base set will showcase the 1959, 1981 and 1977 Topps designs and there will be new unannounced variations for 10 cards, new throwback on-card autographs and more. Base cards will have Purple (/175), Silver (/99), Blue (/25) and 1/1 Gold parallels. There will be a number of new insert sets in this year's edition with 1959 Topps Combo Cards, 1977 Topps Turn Back the Clock cards, 1981 Topps Future Stars, Coming Attraction cards and Topps Rookie History Cards. They'll have similar foil-stamped parallels -- Purple (/150), Green (/99), Blue (/50), Red (/10) and 1/1 Gold. ... While the DVD cards made for The Sandlot were All-Star cards, the stars here use the standard 1962 Topps design and will have Green (/99), Blue (/25) and 1/1 Gold-foil parallels. The Autographs also will have the same parallels. ... Rookie History autos will be one per case with Red (/10) and Gold (1/1) parallels, while Fan Favorites autos will have on-card ink and use various past designs. They'll have Purple (/150), Silver (/99), Blue (/25) and 1/1 Gold versions. Coming Attraction autos will revisit the 1993 Topps subset design with stars such as Shohei Ohtani signing. They'll have Blue and Gold parallels. ... Topps Originals autos will be buybacks from the 1950s to 1990s (/10), whole thermals will be 1993 Topps All-Stars dual autos (/25) that will also have a 1/1 Gold version. They, too, will be on-card autos.

Update (retail details): The eight-pack blaster boxes here (16 boxes per case) will once again include two 1980s-style Topps coins, while there also will be 18-card jumbo packs ($5.99 suggested retail price).  The jumbos will include one Coming Attraction insert per pack.
