What's buzz-worthy: The third series of the the basic Topps baseball brand -- the flagship brand for the hobby -- will cap the season with its full-bleed feel and a number of inclusions that collectors expect from the brand.

The Basics: The basic set will consist of 300 cards with each card having  number of parallels -- Gold (/2,018), Rainbow foil, Vintage stock (/99), Independence Day (/76), Black (/66), Mother's Day Pink (/50), Father's Day Powder Blue (/50), Memorial Day (/25), Negative, Platinum (1/1) and printing plates. There also will be short-printed variations that are rare -- and even rarer -- and then there also will be variation autograph cards.

Topps Salute inserts will take on a few subjects once again -- Rookies, Legendary All-Stars and Game-changers this time -- with each having Blue, Black (/299), Gold (/50), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum parallels. Also on the insert front will be An International Affair (past and present stars from outside the U.S.), Storybook Endings (final seasons), Don't Blink (fast players) and another selection of the 1983 Topps cards. ... Each also will have the same rainbow and volume for parallels as well as an autographed version that will be limited to no more of 10 copies across the three non-1983 sets.

The main manufactured Relic in these boxes will be Postseason Logo cards that will have Gold (/99), Blue (/50), Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum versions as well as an autographed one limited to only 10 copies per player. For autographs, the Topps Salute cards will be found with ink as will 1983 All-Stars. They will have Red and Platinum versions, while the 1983 autos will have more versions -- Black (/99), Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum. There also will be 1/1 sketch cards in this release. Auto Relics will be found for Topps Reverence, All-Star Stitches, All-Star Stitches duals and All-Star Auto Jumbo Patch cards. Each will be limited to only 10 or 25 copies for the standard versions, while there also will be Gold (/10) and 1/1 Red versions for most inserts. (Reverence will be rarer with only fives copies for Red and its 1/1 will be Platinum.)

The Relic-only lineup will include All-Star Stitches with Blue (/50), Gold (/25) and 1/1 Red versions, while All-Star Jumno Patches will be limited to no more than than five copies with a 1/1 parallel. Rounding things out will be All-Star Stitches duals and triples (/25) as well as cut autos and Own the Name Relics, which will both be 1/1 creations.

Silver packs also will be back -- one per hobby box, two per jumbo -- with another take on the 1983 set with autos and parallels to be found.

Update with Retail details: At retail, this one will have Jackie Robinson Day commemorative patch cards in blaster boxes (10 packs plus bonus) with Gold (/99), Blue (/50), Red (/10), Platinum (1/1) and autographed (/10) versions. There are also two inserts only found at retail among those teased so far. There will be Legends in the Making cards with Blue, Black (/299), Gold (/50), Red (/10), Platinum (1/1) and autographed (/10) versions. There will the same rainbow for Postseason Pre-eminence cards, which will only be found in blaster boxes. ... Among the formats here will be 36-pack gravity boxes (six per case), 36-card jumbo packs (108 packs per case), 72-card hanger boxes (eight per tray, eight trays per box), 24-pack display boxes (12 per case)
