First Buzz: 2019-20 Panini Contenders Optic NBA cards

What's buzz-worthy: Contenders Optic's sophomore release is one that includes an autograph in every box and plenty of inserts and parallels, too.

The Basics: These boxes will include four inserts or parallels and one base cards atop the ink. Rookie Ticket parallels were not detailed but teased colors include Gold, Orange and 1/1 Gold Vinyl. There also will be Veteran Ticket autos with Gold and Blue parallels within the lineup there. Joining those will be 1982 Tribute Autos that create something retro-styled that's brand new. Among the inserts will be Historic Slams (dunk contest!), Uniformity, All-Star Aspirations and Historic Picks that pair players taken at the same draft spots. These inserts will also have a number of parallels (not yet specified) with Cracked Ice Blue, Gold Vinyl and Gold among the teased versions. Also teased is a Superstars diecut insert card that will have Gold (/10) and 1/1 Gold Vinyl versions. ... Boxes carry an increased suggested retail price of $125 up from last year's $100.
