What's buzz-worthy: Obsidian takes to the pitch for the first time with its unique look accented by autographs and memorabilia cards from the stars of the global game -- "the best and most popular soccer players from an assortment of the most prominent club and national teams from throughout the world."

The Basics: Boxes of this one will include one base card (veteran or rookie), one insert or insert parallel card and one Contra parallel of either a veteran or rookie atop of the hits. The base set will consist of 100 cards (/149) with seven Electric Etch parallels -- Purple (/65), Orange (/35), Green (/20), Yellow (/10), Contra (/8), Red (/5) and 1/1 Blue Finite. Atop the base cards will be 22 Rookie Cards with the same parallel rainbow. Among them will be Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi, Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic and Mason Greenwood of Manchester United. ... There will be four insert sets in this one -- Vitreous, Supernova, Pitch Black and Tunnel Vision -- with the cards limited to only 99 copies. They will have the same parallels as the base. ... For hits there will be three sets with autographs and memorabilia -- Jersey Autographs, Matrix Material Autos and Dual Jersey Ink -- and they will be limited to 99 copies per card. There also will be Orange (/50), Green (/25), Yellow (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Blue Finite parallels. ... There also will be standard auto cards -- Aurora, Lightning Strike and Obsidian -- (all /125) for past and present players and they will have six parallels. Those will include Purple (/75), Orange, Green, Yellow, Red and Blue Finite at the same volumes. ... For memorabilia cards, there will be a few sets -- Volcanic, Mosaic and Atomic Materials as well as Eruption, Cutting Edge and Galaxy Gear. The first three sets will be limited to 149 and have the same parallel rainbow but with no Red. The other three sets will start at 125 with Green, Yellow, Red and Blue Finite parallels with the same volumes. ... Among the teams here will be Manchester City, FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund and SSC Napoli as well as national squads for Portugal, Argentina, Italy, Spain and others. Also in the mix? The U.S. Women's National Team. ... Boxes will carry a suggested retail price of $160.
