What's buzz-worthy: Optic hits the field once again with an Optichromed take on Donruss with an autograph in every box and a rookie in every pack plus plenty more.

The Basics: The typical box of this one will include 14 Rookie Cards, six Rated Rookies, 10 parallels and four inserts along with the auto card and base cards. New for this one will be 1989 Tribute, 1999 Tribute, MVP, Mythical, Rookie Kings and Power Formulas inserts among others, while Downtown will be found one per case with parallels as rare as the Gold Vinyl 1/1. ... Only in hobby boxes will be Rookie Patch Autographs (/25 with parallels), Dynamic Patch autos and Legendary Patch autos. ... The base set will consist of 100 veterans with Rookies atop that. ... Rated Rookies autos will be on-card autos with Holo (/99 max), Blue (/75), Red (/50), Purple (/35), Black Pandora (/25), Gold (/10), Green (/5) and 1/1 Gold Vinyl parallels. There also will be triple-auto rookie cards (/25 max). ... New for this year are Rookie Kings autos while the 1999 Tribute autos will be limited to only 25 copies using the past design. ... These four-card packs carry a suggested retail price of $5 ($100 per box).

Update (Oct. 23): There will be 10-pack collector boxes made for this one with each of them containing one Bronze autograph and one memorabilia card as well as three Holo parallels, three Rated Rookies, seven Rookie Cards, one Bronze rookie parallel, one Bronze Rated Rookie parallel, one Orange Scope card (/79) and two other inserts.
