What's buzz-worthy: Historic Autographs takes another look back at the Civil War with a high-end release that includes autographs in every box as well as other memorabilia cards that can include battlefield dirt, coins, stamps and more also in every box.

The Basics: There will be 15 base cards (/65) per box with parallels that include Blue (/61), Gray (/7) and 1/1 Red parallels. There will also be as many as five insert cards per box as well as two or three autographed items per box with presidents, generals, war-dated soldier letters as well as "important figures from the Civil War like Clara Barton, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Beecher Stowe and Dorothea Dix." ... The cut autograph lineup will include volume on a number of key names, according to Historic, with four Abraham Lincoln cuts in this one as well as a least two for Ulysses S. Grant, George B. McClellan, Jeb Stuart, Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee as well as 10 for William T. Sherman and 40 for Frederick Douglass. ... Among the memorabilia pieces will be an original cabinet photo of the Andersonville Prison, a U.S. Colt revolver, cartridge boxes and GAR medals for starters. ... There will be a bounty program with the Gray parallel set a key for some of up to $14,000 in rewards for those who can complete the challenge. A completed 100-card Gray set, for example, will pay $2,000. ... Also found in every box will be stamp cards (two per box), dirt relic cards (at least one per box) and Gray or Red parallels combining to be found one per box. ... Only 200 four-box cases will be made and a rundown of cut autograph volume built so far is below and a gallery of images is after that.
