The Basics: Just 75 cases are being made for this one with the 66-card base set (checklist in gallery) featuring original artwork and it's joined by buybacks, cuts and art cards. Among the players also will be a number of rookies from 1914 and 1915 that Historic says could have played in the Federal League -- a crop that includes Babe Ruth, Harry Heilmann, Dazzy Vance, Rogers Hornsby and George Sisler. There will be color variation cards in every pack with red being the standard color joined by orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue and purple parallels. Each player also has a portrait and action card. ... Among the Retro Rookie autographs will be Ruth, Hornsby, Heilmann, Vance, Sisler and Red Faber. ... There also will be 1/1 art cards found one in every 30 packs (at least four per case) with hand-added enhancements like oil paint, acrylic paint, watercolor and handwriting as part of the creations.
