What's buzz-worthy: Contenders hits the diamond once again with a new crop of MLB draft picks in their college uniforms, high school standouts and international signees, too, along with other prospects all in one place with an auto in every pack.

The Basics: These 18-card packs will include a mix of inserts and parallels with some of the first autographs from top prep and college stars in this year's draft. A typical box will include the six autos, one parallel card and a total of 100 Season Ticket base cards, variations and inserts. The base set (Season Tickets) will have 60 cards with players from the past and present in play. Among the autographs here will be the start of Contenders Optic baseball with on-card autos with five parallels per player and all of them limited to no more than 20 copies. ... The first-day draft picks will have on-card autos (/99) with Cracked Ice (/23), Playoff (/18), Diamond (/15), Building Blocks (/10), Fame (/5) and 1/1 Championship versions as well as sets of printing plates. On-card autos also can extend as low as the third round. ... Other autos will include Prospect Tickets and International Tickets and joining them will be Collegiate Connections autos from two players who went to the same school. ... These will once again carry a suggested retail price of $20 per pack ($120 per box).
