What's buzz-worthy: Rookies & Stars is back on the gridiron with boxes that deliver plenty of stuff with both standard and Optichrome cards in the mix for just what its name says.

The Basics: This one is back with 22 inserts, five serial-numbered parallels, 12 Rookie Cards and two numbered Optichrome cards per box just like last year. New for this one for memorabilia fans will be Big Time and High Octane cards. ... The base set will include 100 cards with Orange (/99) True Blue (/49), Red & Blue (/35), Gold (/10), Black & Blue (/5) and 1/1 Platinum parallels as well as printing plates. Rookies -- 100 more cards -- will have the same rainbow. Longevity Signatures rookies will have a similar lineup with Orange (/99), Blue (/75), Purple (/25), Gold (/10), Green (/5) and 1/1 Platinum versions as well as plates. ... Optichrome inserts will include Crusade, Airborne, Stellar Rookies and Great American Heroes and all of them will have Red (/75), Pink (/50), Purple (/35), Orange (/25), Gold (/10), Green (/5) and 1/1 Black as well as printing plates and autographed versions limited to only 25 copies. ... For memorabilia cards, there will be Dress For Success (/99 max) with prime (/25) and 1/1 laundry tag parallels as well as Statistical Standouts Signatures (/99) with prime and platinum parallels and Big Time Prime cards with larger swatches and patches (/25). ... Packs will include 10 cards and boxes once again carry a suggested retail price of $100 per box.
