What's buzz-worthy: Unparalleled returns for a fourth season on the gridiron with the parallels and textures collectors have come to expect along with plenty more dazzling displays of cardboard.

The Basics: Atop the hits, every box will include at least seven serial-numbered parallel cards just like last year. This year, the base set will have 300 cards -- 200 veterans (at least 60 of those being RCs, too) and 100 new rookies -- with the base set's parallels including Flight, Groove, Astral (/200), Infinite (/150), Whirl (/100), Impact (/75), Hyper (/25), Fireworks (/5), Burst (1/1) and Galactic (one per case). The rookies will have the same rainbow of parallels but their Galactics will be found in every other case. Standard RCs will be found two per pack. Rookie Focus cards reinforce this one's focus on newcomers with that insert set having Groove, Whirl (/100), Impact (/75), Hyper (/25) and 1/1 Burst versions. ... Rookie Jersey autos will have Astral (/150 max), Impact (/75), Hyper (/25), Fireworks (/5) and 1/1 Burst versions as well as NFL Shield, Tag and NFL Shield Logo versions that all will be 1/1s. ... Pioneer Penmanship autos will be back once again with a focus on past greats -- guys from the 1950s to 1990s -- with all limited to no more than 99 copies. ...Rookie Signatures will have fewer parallels -- Hyper (/25), Fireworks (/5) and 1/1 Burst -- while Undeniable Impact memorabilia cards will spotlight just 30 players with Astral, Impact, Hyper, Fireworks and Burst versions. ... Inserts will include High Flyers and Star Factors diecuts that are one per case as well as The Thrill of Victory, Spirit of the Game, Rookie Revue and On the Rise. Packs carry a suggested retail price of $12 ($96 per box).
