What's buzz-worthy: Diamond Icons takes to the field for another summer with nothing but hits in play here in what Topps calls "the ultimate b0x-breaking experience."

The Basics: All cards will be limited to no more than 25 copies with a number of parallels and all autographs will be on-card. On the autograph front there will standard ink (/25 or less) each with Purple (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Gold parallels just like last year, while there will be red-ink autos (/25 or less) with Purple (/10), Red (/5) and 1/1 Gold versions, too. There also will be Diamond Icons autos (/25) with the same parallel rainbow as well as Silver (/25) with those parallels. ... The cut auto lineup will include cards limited to just four copies and with a Gold 1/1 parallel. There also will be as many as 30 Immortal Cut Signatures cards just like last year. ... Auto Relics will include Jumbo Patches (/25 max) with the Purple-Red-Gold rainbow, single-player auto Relics (/10) with Red and Gold versions, single-player dual team auto Relics (/10), single-player dual auto Relics, dual-player dual auto Relics (/10). These will have Red (/5) and 1/1 Gold parallels. Rounding it out will be new autographed diamond relics (/10) that will only have 1/1 Gold parallels. ... On the Relic front there will be single-player cards (/10), dual books (/10), Diamond Relics (yes, your real diamonds per card), Preeminent Piece Cleat Relics (/10) with 1/1 Spike Relic parallels and MLB logo patches that are 1/1 cards. Relics will have Red (/5) and 1/1 Gold parallels. ... No preliminary checklist was released and, based on factory cost, these boxes definitely will once again be north of the $1,000 mark.
