What's buzz-worthy: The second series of Topps' flagship set for 2019 will arrives with a new wave of cards for the new look as well as a few things not seen in the first series.

The Basics: The base set will consist of 350 additional cards -- a mix of veterans, Future Stars, rookies and stadium cards. Each will have at least 12 parallels with rainbow foil, 150th Anniversary foil stamp, Gold (/2,019), vintage stock (/99), Independence Day (/76), (Black /67), Mother's Day Pink (/50), Father's Day Blue (/50), Memorial Day Camo (/25), Clear (/10) and 1/1 Platinum as well as printing plates. ... On the insert front, there will be three 150 Years of Professional Baseball sets -- Greatest Players, Greatest Moments and Greatest Seasons -- once again with each of these having 150th Anniversary parallels (/150) as well as Red (/10) and 1/1 Platinum. Some will have autographed versions limited to no more than 25 copies. Other inserts in this one will include Evolution Of -- a set showing the changes in team logos, uniforms, stadiums and technology for this series -- as well as Faces of the Franchise, Significant Statistics, Iconic Card Reprints and a new wave of 1984 Rookies and All-Stars. The sets (except for reprints) will have the 150th, Red and Platinum versions. The reprints will have only 150 and auto (/25 max) versions

As for hits, there will be Major League Material Autographs with those limited to just 50 copies with Red (/25 max) and 1/1 Platinum versions. There also will be Significant Statistics Auto Relics (/50) with the same parallels as well as Topps Reverence Auto Patches (/10) with only Red (/5) and Platinum versions. There will be Significant Statistics and 1984 Rookie and 1984 All-Star Autos, too, with the Significant cards being the same rarity as the Major League Materials. The 1984s will not be numbered but have 150th parallels as well as Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum versions. Legacy of Baseball autos will pair notables from "all eras of pro ball" and include 150th, Gold, Red and Platinum versions as well as dual autos limited to no more than five copies. Rounding out the autos will be a selection of 1/1 cut signature cards.

On the Relic side, Major League Material Relics with 150th, Gold (/50), Red (/25) and 1/1 Platinum parallels, as well as 1984 Relics (same parallels) will be found here along with 1984s and Significant Statistics cards. The 1984s will have the 150/Gold/Red/Platinum breakdown, while the 1984s will be limited to 99 copies and then have only Red and Platinums.  There also will be 1/1 In The Name Relics with nameplate letters.

Rounding things out will be MLB Logo Golden Anniversary Patch cards for the 50th anniversary of the logoman and they'll be hobby- and jumbo-only finds with 150, Gold, Red, Platinum and autographed versions. There also will be 150th Anniversary Commemorative Medallion cards with the same parallels, too. There will be Silver bonus packs for this series -- one per hobby box, two per jumbo.
