What's buzz-worthy: Contenders hits the NBA court not long after last season's edition with a new crop of rookies, their autographs (mocks here using last year's players) and some new inclusions.

The Basics: Each 120-card box of this one will include two parallels and eight inserts along with base cards and the hits. There will be Rookie Ticket autos with a few parallels to chase here (not detailed in advance this time) with Cracked Ice (/25), new Clear Ticket acetate cards, Gold Optichrome (/10) and 1/1 Gold Vinyl among those teased. For other hits there will be veteran Season Ticket Ticket Stub autos (also with parallels), Rookie Ticket Swatches and sophomore autos. ... Among inserts will be License to Dominate, Permit to Dominate and Superstar Die-cuts, which will have parallels, too. ... The base set size was not detailed. ... Hobby boxes will carry an increased suggested retail price of $200. ... Note: Mocks for Rookie Cards seen here use players from last year.
